i find that i drink primarily alone......in fact, i'm drunk right now.....100 proof vodka and sum funky-ass lime/green drink thingy my mom bought.....anywho, i generally have always drank alone......most of my friends either don't drink or don't drink as much as i do........so yeah, i drink alone....what of it? how about you?

To be an alcoholic you really need to have an addiction to it, so I don't think it matters that you're on your own.
Just think of all the sailors, lighthouse keepers, arctic reserch station staff etc, that are always alone.

Most of the times that i drink i drink alone, just chilling. Get me some tequilla or goldstrike and just chill out in my room, playing games, watching a movie or what not.

Tis all relaxed and i don't think it makes you an alcoholic, it's the frequency in which you drink, and the dependency you have off it that makes you an alcoholic. Drinking with friends if fun, but drinking along can be hella fun as well

Drinking alone is a characteristic of an alcoholic the same way as having sex is a characteristic of a sexaholic: it's only part of the deal.

Always drinking alone isn't a real clear sign of alcoholism. However if you always drink when you're alone...that's another matter entirely.

Or if you start to hide your drinking habits from others.

Mind you I do that and I'm no alki, just an eejit.

I think if you are happy to tell people you drink alone, and it's not a huge amount, that's very different to hiding vodka under the floorboards.

My family have always been fairly liberal with the drink, putting it in babies' bottles to shut them up etc.

Anyway, I don't think drinking alone makes someone an alcoholic. I'm usually with friends/family when I have anything to drink, but on occasion I'll just kinda chill and have something to drink. The fact that plenty of people act really stupid when they're drinking and I don't feel like putting up with their behaviour sort of plays a role in my drinking alone. But anyway.. *stops rambling*

Don't worry about the alcoholism label unless you're a total loser, i.e. can't hold a job or something like that.
