I am a Deist. I believe in a Heaven and a Hell. I believe in God and Satan, demons and angels. I do not allow them to temper with my life, though. I enjoy studying religions and mythos. In doing this, I found an interest in the paranormal. Secifically, demons and angels. I have the urge to find them. I believe that they walk the earth today, and I want to find some. I've gone after people who have experiences with these creatures. One of them, which I found out recently from my mother, has had many experiences with them. It was her sister. I asked her many questions about her experiences and she's told me about a many few occasions where she had encountered some. I have had an encounter with the paranormal in the same house I live in now, thirteen years ago. I saw a red hand on the front door, nothing more. I am also intrigued with supernatural powers, such as "adept" humans and street illusionists. I just want to get some of your experiences and beliefs about these supreme beings...

i think angels and demons are real, but ah what does it matter really. the world world would be fucked over by human nature even if we didn't have demons prayiing on our mind fears and weaknesses so hey what the point.

True enough, it may not matter to you what goes on, but I have an undying thirst for knowlege. I want to know everything I can about them. What are their purposes? My aunt had seen what looked like a man grinning at her from inside a tree when she was young. She told me that she began to pray and a tall bue figure showed up in the corner of her room. Now, I took into consideration that she could be making this up, but I could see no reason for it. She is a very strange person and has a gift, as I think, to see them. I like to ask her for physical descriptions, but she can't ever describe it perfectly; usually pretty vague. When I saw the red hand on the door, I got the shivers and stayed up all night. It wasn't a handprint, it was a transparent red hand that looked to be pushing on the door. Also, my uncle, one of my father's brothers, has the ability to see peoples' auras. I thought this was strange, but I read up on it at the library. Appearently, people a long time ago could see eachother's auras. It was a kind of advanced empathy. I find that to be quite interesting. In my search for angels and demons, I will probably try and find people with gifts similar to my aunt and uncle. Also, psychics. Or even those who can predict. I find those talents to be either gifts from God or the devil, or flaws that they have allowed. My goal is to find the purpose of demons and angels. But for now, I'm just trying to make conversation. Still, I'd like to pick up your ideas.

angels and demons, aren't always as black and white as heaven and hell, and not all negative energies are evil, just as not all positive energies are angels...i tend to use those as terms to convey a particular idea...

demonology and ceremonial magic may be areas you'd want to pursue a study into, demonology is the study or worship of certain entities, and ceremonial magic has a lot of good books to refrence them and good, basic laws when dealing with them...and oddly enough, older roman catholic practices...in a way, i guess we can give them credit for being the forfathers of demonology...

contact with devils, demons and angels, really isn't any different than contacting any other supernatural entity, they do tend to have a stronger influence over those contacting them than your average ghost, and caution is always recommended when dealing with anything...beyond our comprehension...they're not always happy to be bothered.

Demons and Angels are types of elementals, stop, I am not going to explain, so dont ask, just believe me I researched it, They are the Elementals Of Light and Darkness.
Anyway I understand the whole interest in them, but being elementals they are very powerful in their specific realms.

I doubt a whole discourse on 'Elemental Realms/ Dimensions' and how they relate to each other would be considered 'On topic'.
Besides they have throughout history, even before Christianity stole them and called them there own, been refered to as Creatures Wholly of Light and Dark, which by definition makes them Elementals.

just out of curiousity and for purposes of clarification, how are you using the terms of light and dark, simply as negative and positive forces or more in refrence to their..alignment?

I am using them in a context of being Elements, becuase they are and they are not...
Explanation, You know how in the colour spectrum there are of course Black and white, the exist , as ends of each colours spectrum, but at the same time exist as their own special colour.
Well the Realms of Light and Dark are like that, they exist at the extreme ends of Each Elemental Realm/ Dimension. They exist as their own Realm, but also connect the other realms together.... sorta.

Based on Black and White theory, one sees that both creatures are doing what they wanna do, for a positive and negative effect. They act on what they feel, and usually have the dual +/- effect on people. For example, if I were Satanist, then I would, uh, hate? Angels. Therefor, uh, I would see them as messangers for a god unsuit for this world, and therefor misguided and more of a 'stupid' creature/misguided. As seen in the bible, when the angel speaks to Virgin Mary.

If I was christian, I would see demons as messangers of evil, doing what they know is wrong, and doing it simply because they enjoy it (indulgence, in a sense.). Therefor, I would see them as puppets to a Greater-Fallen-Angel, and simply doing the lazy work, hopeing to cause some havoc, but not really doing anything other than hurting those poor people!

Now factor in the Prismatic effect (as seen in physics), and as (fineally) Neco has put it. We see that both Angels (since demons are just fallen angels, according to, uh, the bible?) are haveing a positive and nagative effect on people, regardless of their religion and faith. Therefor, -and this is the big whopper on the end- Angels and Demons are nothing more then messangers doing the same job. Easy, eh?
That is, what I belive. Now what others belive Im willing to listen to, but this is pretty logical from my stand point. That is, if anyone can decipher what I just said.

Note: If you wanted to get down to the nitty gritty, you can trace back Demons and Angels to doing Gods work no matter who they are, includeing the devil. Therefor, the battle, as depicted in the bible, that shall set all that evil straight (what with the great battle that God and the devil shall fight in in the heavens) is an entirely different subject but for reference purposes one sees that without the help of demons and angels that battle can't happen. And since god has seen to the end of time, we see that he has predicted all this and has made sure he'll win. Thanks to the bad guy in the begining, and the good guy that had this all planed out to teach us all a lesson. In, uh, guidance? Thats if you wanted a Dedicated Christain Stand Out Outlook on the subject hand. Which Im not, but, uh, you know, Im just sayin.

let's take the concept of christianity out of the picture...and go back to before there was one god and everything else became angels and demons...how has it happened that once great gods have been reduced to the level of fairy and...fallen messengers of god, particularly at this point in time when the christian view on once...evil subjects is fading?

it's interesting to see how archetypes change with time and beliefs...

and then there's the school of thought that they are simply aspects of ourselves, sort of the id and super egos of our consciousness, projected to exlain our less than...human expectations of behavior...fascinating creatures; aren't they?
