Yeah... well... the whole Sept 11th + "War on Terror" (Ha!) thing is just one manifestation of American/Christian friction with Near-Eastern/Muslim. It was happening a long time beforehand, and will continue to happen - probably increased - fopr a long time afterwards. That's why we need things like this site. | |

i live in the south of the united states. these people are clean cut animals that still possess the sense of "community." they are the same people who burn crosses and beat minority down so they can feel some sense of supirioity. "so what's the point pyrric?"
point is, im always frightened by the redneck, white bread, chickenshit who has "nuke 'em, george" soap written on the back window of his huge suv. havnt they figured that there are some people who are aganst the tailiban and dont want terrorism or war with the americans living in afghanistan. why would you 'nuke' them. they can be your allies.
and while im at work with the most inconsiderate people and here "they should turn that place into a parking lot" i cant help but think "what would you do if your goverment was now in a war with a superpower? would you want to be "nuked"? no. you'd just want it to blow over so you can go back to tending your sheep."

The thing that really bugs me is people who assume that because people are of a different culture they aren't as well educated, the stupid "they can't even speak english properly" mentality.
