What does revelation have to do with philosophy?

Oh, nothing at all of course. Philosophy answers no questions and is a total waste of fuckin' time, obviously.

There's always a point. For me.

If I can't have ideas, philosophies, dreams, then I can't believe that things will ever get better, and if there's no hope of things getting better, and dreams being achieved, then there is no point at all. I always have to hope.

yes, but itz the way you learn that matters the way the revelation is brought forth.....everyone learns in some way, such as, if you're ignorant and are unawares of a stove-top, and you touch a stove-top thatz hot, then you will get burned, thus remembering never to touch a stove-top......

BUT!!!! what you gotta account is that some lower form of ignoramus is likely never to touch any stove-top again.....while someone who is a lil' more intuiative might notice that when the stove-top burned him it was glowing orange, thus he might be inclined to touch the black stove-top, thus learning that itz actually cool.....while someone else might have noticed the presence of heat coming off of the stove-top just before they touched it, thus remembering that detail, thus figuring out that where there is heat, you're likely to get burned.....

so, the revelation is way too chaotic and diverse....so the learning that takes place should provide the best possible information and justification.......and it is philosophy that tries to look at every possible angle of anything that can be learned....they take into account what science says, they even take into account what religions or worldviews might say, and then they take into account anything that has been forgotten or overlooked......

it is from there that the revelation can truly be justified the utmost way possible.....that, accordingly, the stove-top is likely to burn you if it is glowing orange and has some heat coming from it; even then, philosophy is bound to sit back and notice the stove, realizing that there are knobs, one of which is turned to "high," and thus noting that a stove-top is likely to burn if itz corresponding knob is turned on, which thereby actives heat, which thereby causes the stove-top to glow orange, all in all which will burn you if you touch it.....and from here there bound to ask a variety of other questions...such as, what is this knob and how does it provide heat?

Funny, the smartest thing about a revelation to me is putting it to use, therefore discovering more about the effects anyway. You analyse the situation, learn and act accordingly. What you're describing as a 'philosopher' is just a personality type who has been taught a format for evaluation and summation.

and thatz why you're ignorant....anyone can have a revelation.....but anything can happen from said revelation....like, take my example of the man who puts his hand on the hot burner on the stove.....his revelation is that anything that looks as such will burn....so he'll just stay away from it all together......thus, he's ignorant....

you can proclaim philosophy is shit and you can proclaim revelation is all that matters, but in the end you must always take into account knowledge.....knowledge is how we grow as a society, itz how we've expanded into the technological era......and you gotta account that science as we understand it is still relatively young......modern science first had to play dead because of religious persecution (btw, reliegion is perhaps concerned more with revelation than either philosophy or science....and look how religion distorts people's views)..............anywho, philosophy has been the key player in knowledge since it began.....

look at this way....you conjure up a theory....any theory really....

religion gives a brief answer....such as, God made it so

science wants to ask many questions....wants to perform tests....wants to understand all of it....but in the end, science is only restricted to what it already knows and understands.....

philosophy in turn asks many questions.....but it follows a very simple principle....if you can justify the theory, you have your answer......all philosophy needs is the utmost of abstract thought......and philosophy isn't tied down be faith/belief (religion) or an arbitray system of comprehension (science).....no, instead, philosophy is likely to incorporate both of those in formulation an answer.....

but in the end, think what you want....hate philosophy if you want to.....but still, give it some respect......i for one aren't religious and hate religion and bible-bangers to the max, nonetheless, religious people have something i don't really have....and thatz faith and belief....i mean, sure, i gotta have some faith in logic and philosophy, but that ain't shit compared to the faith of a bible-banger for their religion..........but yeah, philosophy is (or was) a great thing.....just recently itz been flushed down the toilet.....but, we shouldn't let that happen.....it takes a very intelligent and open-minded individual to understand philosophy.....and it does have a purpose in soceity.....so yeah.....

i feel that i'm both. i don't perform any ritualistic rites or talk to god on some regular basis and etc, etc, but i do believe in a god and (i can't find the quote) yet i believe just as much in what sixxx stated before about how he doesn't believe a god exists (anymore?..Nietzche). In any case, I believe in what makes sense to me (obviously) and that includes both the philosophies that disprove god and hope and faith, etc, and things that philosophy has yet to answer for seemingly a thousand years and never fully will (faith).

so, what the am i? just undecided? confused? indecisive? a ignorant moron? (almost typed mormon)...
