Yes, and I'm sure some tree hugger 200 years ago worried about running out of wood for their Franklin stove too.
Guess what?
We don't need wood to burn anymore.

200 years ago the population was what, 1.5 billion?
You seem to think that alternative energy development is a guarenteed thing. Even if it were, you'd just be spreading the problem to hydrogen or whatever.
The problem's not gonna go away until we A) get the population growth under control and stop taking everything we want.

No, we will eventually be making hydrogen from seawater, and with fusion reactors replacing fission reactors, our energy problems will be over forever.
That is, unless you think we will run out of seawater...

That is, unless you think we will run out of seawater... | No, my prediction is that the planet will have lost the ability to sustain human life before the seawater runs out

This planet has been through far worse than anything we can dish out.

Yeah the planet's been through worse, but we haven't.

Population will stabilize. If not, some of us will die out, and then we won't have that stress anymore, will we?
As far as energy consumption, as I said, fusion and hydrogen will meet our needs forever.

Boy, you got it all figured out

yeah...and if it doesn't your backup plan is for 'people to die off'
how's the population gonna stabilize, anyways?
I think everything will be fine too. I also think we'll find the wisdom to take the necessary steps.

No, people dying off was your insinuation. You said nobody would be here to enjoy our new energy resources. So which is it?
Our population will stabilize when it becomes counterproductive to breed.
We have the wisdom, it's called "conservatism".

| Now you are finally learning. Capitalism and Conservatism do conserve the planet. Congrats. | |

So make up your mind, please.... | Aright sorry, I didn't know what you were talking about.
I meant that in the context of indefinite growth. Quote: |

The technological innovations caused by capitalism conserve the planet.

Then why can I be typing on the internet right now, while watching my tv?
Then why is most of America overweight?
We have more food and energy than we need right now, and we haven't even scratched the surface of out technology.
Have you read the Unibomber's book to get all of these ideas of yours?
