Do you frequent any sort of club?? If so what kind??

I go to Area 51 alot here in SLC, Utah. They have two dancefloors and two seperate bars, an upstairs and a downstairs. It makes for an entertaining evening because you can completely change the atmosphere you are in just by walking up some stairs.

Downstairs is usually a mix of eighties and goth and upstairs is a mix of techno and dance.

Dundee has two quite cool ones.

Cage, which is metally.

The Reading Rooms, which is just fucking awesome.

I would love to visit a Scottish club.....

What kind of music do they normally play?? Ar ethey dance or drink or both clubs??? I like to do both hehe.......

Or mosh in the case of Cage.

Clubs scare me. I have this sort of crowd claustriphobia thing. There is some Pavilion in Harrisonburg but last I heard it was probably closing down because the owners had some run in with the law.

i went through a whole bunch of years where i went to all the hollywood clubs, manhattan bars, and o.c. after hours clubs. finally one night a lightbulb went off above my head and i asked myself 'why am i hanging out with all these fake ass people?'

since then i've basically only bothered going to small bars or even straight up dive bars. at least there i know the people are real, the drinks are cheap and i don't have to wait for 45 minutes to get a beer.

I don't like clubs. They smell like whores and people, the music usually sucks, and I have to wait in line for the bathroom.

I mainly go to concerts or festivals, only occasionally to a club.
There are some good clubnights in Amsterdam and other cities, but my fav one is just over the border, in Germany, "Zeche Carl", where they play electro, industrial, noise in one area; postunk and oldschoolgoth/wave in the smaller area and it also has a restaurant and markets (it's in an old factory) Only too bad they don't have an area with neofolk/darkambient and the likes, but there are seperate evenings for that.

I prefer bars to clubs. I don't go to 'em too often anymore, but if/when I do: Coconut Teaser, The Garage, The Whiskey, The Troubadour(sp?) some bar in San Diego the name of which always escapes me, that one in Whittier, and there was one or two in North Hollywood I used to go to a bunch. Those days are pretty fuzzy.

Clubs are for queers. If it doesnt have a pool table I dont wanna be there.

Nice....i am not going to get that song out of my head for hours....it took me two days last time.

Neofolk, if it is anything like i think it should be, may be the most awesome creation known to man.

Although I don't go to Clubs much anymore,I used to go to these.

None of these are goth clubs,all are Electronic.

Most clubs these days have pool tables in them. It draws the bar crowd.

we have no clubs in this immediate area...and they get shut down by the town as soon as they open, but it's growing so who knows, the closest would be scotty's they have a large dance hall and frequently have dj's thursday through saturday, but they also have a large bar involved, for those who are more into that joy and when i was able to get out more...the palace in whitefish was the hotspot, it was a small bar, but had the club feel to it...

so I suppose i'm stuck in the thread below?

not that i have time or the boyfriend for them anymore...my husband is ideal as a sober chauffer however.

I usually visit bars - but I prefer to call 'em 'pubs'. The town I live in is pretty small but has about 40 pubs in it, it's wall to wall - can be a good night out, or not, it all depends what night you go out because the town is so small there are certain nights that cater for the 'alternative' rather than certain pubs.

Due to this, once a month I travel into the city to a club that caters toward 80's, Goth and techno (different floors) bloody good laugh.

Well.... thats a stupid generalization.... I frequent clubs and I certainly do not force alcohol down anyones throat.... nor do I know anyone who goes who does that....
