Though he is a socialist, I was starting to like Tony Blair for being a firm ally and friend to the USA. But this is apalling and I mourn for the passing of what was Great Britain.

But the UK is a real nation that still has alot of potential yet for super power status. Just gotta be rid of the socialists that are destroying everything that was Great Britain. They just got to get the Tories back into power. Rebuild their navy and get Australia and Canada to vote themselves back into the empire.

So you're under the feeling that the US deserves soverniegnty but Canada and Australia do not?? OR that there should be even more superpowers left to mangle the worlds politics?

Euro-sceptics have been saying for years that various new measures will strip Britain of its sovereignty, but we seem to be doing fine. This new constitution is more or less the same thing, and actually will change very little, merely putting into one document what is already written elsewhere. France and Germany would want more, but Britain would block any proposals for a Foreign Minister etc. anyway.

I'm not a Europhile by any means, and I think that the European apparatus is a disgrace, but I don't think these measures are a big problem. Also, as a rule of thumb, if you find yourself agreeing with Ian Duncan Smith then you're probably wrong.

Btw Sixgun, I assume you realise that if Britain was again a superpower then we would have no need to lick your buttcrack any more, so you would probably be a bit less keen on us.
