how many of you have heard about the supposed "attempted bombing" at new bedford high school in massachusetts?
i live less than a half a mile away from the h.s. and graduated last year from there.
and i'll tell you, it's a little scary to think that 4,000 people could have died so close to home. all of my friends could have been gone.
i don't know what the world is coming to.

anyway, i'd like to know what you guys have been hearing about it. i have a lot more to say, and i'll post it when i get more time. but until then, it's your turn.

heard nothing...it's not that hard to pull something off though...
in my school people carry weapons on a daily basis..and they really don't bother to check anything...i could wear a VERY puffed trench and they wouldn't bother searching me...or carry bombs in my backpack...it's sad and amusing how much they do nothing about anything in my school...my god they don't even put people in the correct classes...

I haven't seen any coverage on this...but then again, I haven't been very news saavy lately...I turn on CNN occasionally and see nothing but updates on which city the Taliban lost today...the local news barely says shit about shit these days...

I remember having bomb scares when I was back in high school. They usually came in around the time when finals were supposed to take place. It became fairly common. If you want to get out of taking a final, you phone in a bomb scare to the school...they call the cops, and the whole student body marches out to the football field and waits in the bleachers until the police are done searching the school.

I had a discussion with some friends once while we were sitting there playing cards, waiting for the school to let us back into class. If anyone had really wanted to kill a significant portion of the student body, all they would have to do is phone in a bomb threat after wiring the stadium bleachers with about 50 lb of TNT...

Last try at a bomb attack I heard of was over here in Birmingham by the Real IRA.

i'm not surprized that you guys haven't heard about it, since it was only an "attempt", but it's on the news every five seconds down here.
the kid's parents are saying that they were "set-up" but i'm not sure how true that is....

at the beginning of this year, security cameras were put everywhere in the school and there's a mini-security guard station inside the h.s. now. the only thing i don't get is, who would bother trying anything with all that set-up?

I heard something about it. They found instructions on how to make bombs and ammo in their room or something. And I think a janitor had found shit in one of thier lockers or some shit like that. Glad no one was blown up. They should have been more secretive about it. I think I heard something about it on Court TV, not sure though. Tv sucks and I barely watch it anymore.

It didnt work out as they planned, there was only damage to the car it was in luckly.I dont know anyone there but it was near a place I shopped a few times.
