Do you think it is worth the blood price we pay to have the modern convenience we have now?

Almost all of the major advances in science have come due to military research and government spending. We have compact powerful modern personal computers due directly to the 30+ year cold war.

Personally I say yeah

i believe there would have been bloodshed over something, so why not our modern conveniences? in the name of allah.

if its true that bloodshed comes with major advances, then if there was no bloodshed at all, we would all be happy little nomads. and we certinly would not be chating here. Most likely we would be conversing in the town or vilage's market street.

and dying at age 5 on average as well as suffering through most of our short lives. man is driven like any other creature towards an ultimate goal, propogation of the species.

And totaly sweet stuff! Since the progression of society is in my opinion the most important goal as of today , then wouldent it be likely to pay the largest price (bloodshed), not that bloodshed is good but if its nessasary to achieve a very important goal of todays world, then I may be able to deal with it.

bloodshed will happen. before we evolved it was predators feeding on us. as we overcame this, we turned on ourselves. no matter what, you will always have an enemy and there will always be some sort of competition for a the top ranking, whether you are dealing with life, money, or whatever.
