Do you believe in some sort of afterlife and if so have you enough faith in that belief?

I believe there is an afterlife of some kind, not quite sure what yet but my faith isn't quite strong enough yet.
I have panic attacks if I think about it too much.

What if when you die that's it?
One minute you're alive than next..nothing.
That scares me something rotten.

I was thinking about Cryogenics yesterday..

What if you get yourself frozen just before you die in the hope of being revived when they figure out how to keep us alive longer?

But..

What then if there is really an afterlife?
You wouldn't be allowed to pass on because your body would hold you.
It would be like standing outside the gates of paradise, never being allowed in but being able to see everyone else in there and new people entering every day.
If this happened and they did manage to revive your body at a later date would you want to live?

I kind of see reincarnation as what i beilieve in.I have decently strong faith in that. But if there isn't life after deatth, well shit. So make your life worth it. Have a good time while your still around. Don't worry about it so much. There isn't any thing you can do to change the kind of afterlife all gonna get.

when I die, burn me and send me to the gods...if there is an afterlife, well than I better learn why they insist on putting me back on the earth...(reincarnation point of view)

but now ghosts and such entities are an entirely different matter...and deserve their own thread...

eh, my views change all the time. i dont believe in an afterlife...like heaven or whatnot. sometimes i beleive in reincarnation, because there just isnt a point for us to be here for like, what 60 years then be gone. because this world has lasted for so long and theres not THAT much dna running around...but these days i'm extremely atheistic and think its all bullshit. all we are is one big accident...::not very spiritual today::: gah..i dont know. sometimes i wanna be a buddhist becasue their theory does make a little sense, that you get a little bit closer to perfection with each life. but...i haven't seen anyone perfect yet.

First of all to tell you what I know dieiing is not what you would expect it to be. Dieing is not something that is given to you really it is a choice. I was lieing in bed one night dieing and could not breathe. Then it hit me that I had the choice to die or not. It was not like what you would expect it to be. It does not hurt. It is just like one big dream.

i do belive in an after life but not in the conventional terms of heaven or hell i do belive that when and if i die(that is stillup for argument) that wherever i go will be of my own choosing i do not belive that i can be judged by anyone and will not let that condenm my soul in fear of what i do and as for thinking to much about it dieing is not the problem or where i go is not either it is the eternity thing that bothers me imagine till the last star dies you are there ....what wil you do ...see ..............hear what does it matter................ and why.............. those are the things that bother me when i pass over

People laugh at me when I tell them that I believe in an afterlife, which has never really bothered me. I was raised in the beliefs of Christian faith, and as humerous as some people might find that, I respect them. I was raised to believe life is a gift, and to take one's life is blasphomus to God, and a condemnation to Hell. Which is the ONLY reason I have yet to take mine. Sure, the concepts of Heaven and Hell might just be man made, but I have never been much to gamble, especially with my spirituality. This life is a hell in and of itself, and when my time comes, I feel I deserve much better than a second go at it.

You know the bad thing is that I am not really that scared to go to hell. I would love to look the devil in the eyes and laugh in his fucking face. then if I did go to hell i might as well make it worth my time and kick his ass out of his thrown and rule over it. Lol

yes, lots of people would, but if there really is a hell that is the wrong impression. hell would be just that...HELL. no satan sitting on a thrown with a pitchfork and horns. but hell. and if you wanted to overthrow him that would never happen, becuase the traditional hell situation would only occur for you if you were like terrified of it or something...i dont think any of that is real. i think that this world is hell. and it really is..but a different idea of it. this is hard to explain because my mind isnt working too well...::too many painkillers today::: in hell it wouldnt be possible for you to take over because then it wouldnt be tortureous, and that is the whole idea of it...you know?

I think that I would be able to overthrow it when you really think about it cause right now we are trapped in this own realm and my belief is that if someone can have power then so can I. I would take over hell and turn it to ice. Make the devil fall for my manipulative brillance, then he would be at my knees begging for mercy. I am not scared of what he is to do to me. I am not to fear the power of hell, but I am to fear God and that is it.

Fuck hell...I mean why should we let the devil rule it when he doesn't even do a good job. He should have some hell on him, cause then it wouldn't be hell for him. At all. We have gotten our hell so why shouldn't he get his. All he has to do is sit around telling people what to do and when I get there I am going to freeze h im out. That guy really pisses me off, so I do not fear him. If anything he should fear me for having the audicity to challenge him like this.


Today I thought that world was ending,
