Not necessarily...Afghanistan is one of the worst countries in the world to do groundbased warfare in. First of all, it's covered in landmines.
Second, they use a kind of underground well system to water their farms, and most Afghan soldiers knows this sewer system like the back of his hand...he can pop up from one well, shoot everyone in sight and disappear through another well before anyone can say 'cookie'...
And of course, there are the caves and mountains...

i would hope that afghanistan falls quickly, however russia already failed in destroying afghan ground forces. i think the u.s. has more resources then russia did and we are much more technically advanced, especially in our military, then the ruskies, but that's a big ass desert to just assume that we can own without any effort.

It was two fuckin month's ago. There is no way to change what happened. And hell, does it not make it all the more painful when you see it all over the news, or news stands? If people would let that part die, and pay attention to the soilder's who are dying, or the innocents in Afgahn, but no, WE are the people with our heads so far up our ass's, that we are WAY to self centered to think about that. We only think about "our-selves". If you people would quit watching the news AND believing everything it says, and gained you views, maybe you could see some of this shit. Ever hear of lying? They do it. No surprise.

Have you even read the rest of this forum? Then you'd know we are very well aware of the propaganda thrown at us from the media. But that doesn't change the fact that one man has now admitted full responsibility for killing hundreds of innocents purely on the grounds of their nationality.

Of course, there are soldiers dying, there are children in Afghanistan being killed, crippled, orphaned, but does that make the lives of those in the towers or planes any less valuable? It's all a matter of where we put our focus. As long as the Taliban reigns in Afghanistan, there's unfortunately not much we can do there.

Of course, there are other options than bombing, and if you have a solution that might work better, fight for it. Write petitions, inform people, get out there and change the world. Sitting at your butt yelling foul words at others is not going to do much good.
