you are right...the christian 'religion' is full of contradictions. thats why you need to not get into the religion....religion is how all that stupid stuff about having to dress up nice for church or you'll go to hell things got started..for me, i worship god....i am a christian...but i worship god, not the religion. religion is what is full of contradictions and stuff. if we got rid of religion and just worshipped and praised, then everything would be a lot better..

so, are you also saying that the bible wasn't written by god??? i mean, there are a lot of contradictions in that book too...
i don't worship anyone except myself for i am the only true god for me to praise...

Actually there is no proof that it was "brought about by some super holy spirit" or something like that. Nor is there proof that it wasn't brought about that, but instead some people who got together and decided to get drunk.

Just like everything relating to almost all religions, it is impossible to prove nor disprove who/what brought about the creation of the bible.

One thing I do know is that the bible isn't that old, compared to the rest of the world...

it cant be older then about 7000 years B.C.E. this is when jericho became a civilization.

The new testement is about 400-500 years old ... the old testement is probably 3000 years old and is a branch off of the qabbalah.. the Hebrew bible.. which dates back about another 3000 years or so... The Hebrews were enslaved by the Egyptians and were not allowed to practice thier rites.. they did anyways.. the original though is the Dead Sea Scrolls which the Catholic church has in Lockdown because of the information contained there-in.. some of this info has been made public knowledge though... its on the Net look into it it may be informative.. then again you will believe what you will..

I've seen some stuff on the dead sea scrolls.. it tended to (tended since I can't remember anything other then what I'm about to relay to you) be.. ohhhh... 70% accurate when it pertained to what was "in the future"...

The Jewish religion is at lest 10,000 years old but I don't know at what point they started writing stuff down.

In addition the Jewish nation probably inherited much of there religious beliefs from this older religion that worships God in his aspects of God of light and God of dark. I can't remember what they're called but I'm sure one of you guys must know.

civilization isn't even ten thousand years old, let alone the hewbrew religion. the bible is about 500 years old. it was put together the last millenia by a bunch of old geezers. the oldest copies of anything that appeared in the bible only date back to the first couple centuries A.D. mesopotamia is where the oldest civilizations sprang and they date back about 8000 years. the hewbrews were one of the later groups to emerge in mesopotamia. not only that but the stories contained in hewbrew religion came from religions that outdate it. so it was one of the newer civilizations that sprang in that part of the world. im sure the religion dates back about 3000 or 4000 years.

If you study many relgions, you can see that many of the stories in the Old Testament parallell or are based off of stories in other, much older relgions. So in that sense, it actually goes back even further.

that's true. sumerian, mesopotamian, and egyptian religions are anywhere between five and eight thousand years old. the bible has a good number of legends that were taken from these older relgions, from the story of eden and parts of the begining of the earth, to the great flood, and the identities of satan and certain angels. it's pretty much myth and legend evolving and changing for different cultures.
