Who here uses a torrent client? Which one do you use? Where do you get your torrents from?

I use BitTorrent. I'm wondering if there might be a few better ones. Any suggestions?
I get most of my torrents from TorrentSpy.

I use Transmission. Its Mac and Linux ready and its pretty good.

Well, I'm actually on my PC right now, so I'll check it out when I get to my Mac.

I use BitComet and though I've heard mention that Asureus(Sp?) is better I still max out at my top download speed much of the time on popular well seeded torrents. Of coarse much of your ability to get good speed is down to your port forwarding setup and your max half open TCP/IP ports which need to be reconfigured in windows using a simple patch. It took me a week to get my setup at optimal performance and I've filled an entire external hardrive full of stuff*.


*All of which is totaly legal in every country of the world other than Turkmenistan, Khazakstan and Korea.

I use whichever one has the file I'm looking for. Usually thepiratebay, and utorrent.

I haven't heard or tried thepiratebay.. I'll give it a go ;D

i usualy get my torrents from piratebay or btjunkie

µTorrent as my client program, with custom ports forwarded through firewalls and router.

isohunt and mininova for torrent files, and now started using torrentspy.

i also add all active trackers using the beehive into my tracker list for ever torrent i download, and update the tracker list daily.

i use torrents for linux distros and getting new isos of cds ive busted in the past, and for downloading programs that are just too slow on other servers. also tend to find good packages of programs for things i need that i can then buy. recently i bought a program for putting dvds to ipod format that i had found through someones collection of install files in a torrent.

I use Bitcomet, really only because that's what my friend who told me about torrents used. I never switched because it always works.

And I got lucky and was asking where I could get a program and got myself a Demonoid invite. That's made me very happy.

Man I wish I could get into Demonoid.
