How do you disable ALL security?

I don't ever want to see another fucking dialogue box asking for permission to do anything.

i dont have a vista box to hand this minute, but if you dont find your answer in the next day or so i'll get on one and find out.

but im pretty sure that going to control panel and the security centre and then making it not monitor things on all levels should help.

Nope. The security center tells me that all security is functioning normally, and doesn't give me the option to turn any of it off. It's like it's silently telling me to fuck off.

you uninstall it and then install Ubuntu linux with Beryl.

my vistabox has fucked itself. i turned it on, and the cmos has died. oh well, it was built out of shitty parts including a mb that had been in a pc that died of overheating.

Reformat and use XP

I found it. If you disable the "user account monitoring", it was something like that, all the annoying dialogue boxes go away. The problem is that you can't do it from the security center. It's under the User Acounts area from the Control Panel.

Does it give you a specific error message? My dual boot issues were always while I had Linux and ME together, and it always was something with the File Allocation Tables.

Yeah, I don't pay much attention to my soundcard too much. This comp's mainly just for gaming and browsing the internet. I'm not worried about the sound on it. My Mac, however, has like 600+ songs, so I like the sound to be good on it. Even though one of the speakers is starting to go dead.

i have an old sound blaster live, and i managed to get codecs for that when i put vista 64 ultimate on my pc.

sb live drivers should work with the live value. i've installed other live drivers when i couldnt get standard ones and they worked fine.

Sorry, for the Dual Boot issue I have run into, it doesn't give me an error messages, just reboots the systema comes back to the same menu instead of booting to the XP drive. Though the way that Vista has set up my Drives is kind of wierd. It has put both my IDE drives a head of my SATA drives. I wonder if I xan switch that around under Vista the way you can under XP

I think you could probably change that in the CMOS settings.
