It always seems I am on darkforum when I am doing homework on the computer. It would be nice to have a place where the brainiacs of darkforum can strut-their-stuff by helping people with homework. I also need opinions for some of my papers and god knows we have opinionated people here

in my opinion, it is your job to do your homeowrk and find the answer by research and not by having someone else give you the answers for it.

what it could be beneficial for is teaching.
say someone's having trouble with trig and wants someone to elaborate on the pythagorean theorem, we could help there.
we'd just have to have a moderator that was willing to watch and make sure people weren't pouring in and just giving answers.
which no one's gonna wanna do. that's sounds like caca.
but what if we tried to utilize this "usersgroup" thing in this way:
tutors: people that can tutor you. you'll see this in their profile and right away you know that you can ask them for help, help, on homework.
say i offer geometry and trig help, and someone contacts me for english help, i can just tell them that six is the guy for the job.
and then i could put my stinkin "artists" usersgroup to use too. people need a sig graphic, avatar, or whatever, these are the people you consult. am i onto something? or am i stupid? i can be both you know.

i mean..... A. how many peeps here are still in high-school.....not as many as aren't..... B. this is really the first person to ever suggest such a thing....and if they need help, why don't they just get real help at school..... C. if they truly, truly, truly have a problem, why not just post it in Offtopic or sumtin'....someone's bound to help.... D. wasn't it your idea, or someone's, to get rid of certain forums to try and help the server from fuckin' up?.....

i said usergroup, not forum. this wouldn't require a new forum at all.
on the other hand, you're right. no one would give a rip.
but i'm still probably gonna put the artists usergroup to that application.

A) I'm not in high school.

I'm not suggesting that anyone does anyone else's homework.. but for example, I was writing a paper on common miusconceptions about a topic, and I thought it would be cool to get some opinions from people online rather than my fellow students, just ot get some new thoughts. Yes I could post it on offtopic, but hey, it was just an idea

C) some schools don't have good tutors, and some people are too shy to ask. Yes, thats their own problem, but no one's making you help them either.

I'll help if I'm needed. Math is my subject but Surreal is probably better at it then me, I only went through high school Math's, haven't made my way into college or university yet.
But I like helping none the less, so if I can help, I'll put my 2 cents into a thread that I may be able to help in. May not be used a lot, but will be helpful to those who need help
