whats wrong witht he PS2?

It had a lot of disk read errors, and then it finally took a crap. Cracked it open to find that the wire strip actually had a few fried wires. Repaired that, got it to actually work and then something went wrong with the lens, or laser, or both... I don't know, but it hurts. I'm going to get one of the new skinny ps2's in a week or two, but still...

why not try to adjust the laser ? That is a known issue with the PS2 and well you could always try and clean it out or clean the lens. if you need to do a search on goole on how to adjust the lens and a site will provide a walkthrough on how to do it.

But, on the positive side, I'll be getting a new ps2 soon.
