anywho.....um.....i think that all this is gettin' out of hand....so far no one seems to be bitchin' lately, and all seems calm here in the poetry section, and i really think all this was just a big mess which i admit to starting, but itz been resolved.....i really think there isn't an issue anymore....i've been givin' my critiques, both postive and negative, and it seems like everyone is handling it just fine.....but if ever in the future someone seems to have a problem with it, fuck 'em....let them come up to me if they got problem, not pussy-foot around and bitch to Lily.....you don't have to play mother.....and i'd appreciate it if people didn't attack other people's critiques....if you got sumtin' to say about someone's poem, or style, thatz fine, but don't go around critiquin' sumeone's critique......

anywho, yeah....i don't really see what the big issue is anymore, as there seemingly isn't an issue.....so tally-ho!

Anyone who is serious about getting their work published will, very likely at some time, have it mailed back to them by return post. This may happen so many times they lose count. Sometimes it's just a post-it stuck to the work that tells you to politely fuck off. If you can't cope with the comments of pretend on-line people, then how the hell are you going to cope in the real world?
And if you're genuinely looking for solid, decent and fair critisism, don't post it here. Join a proper on-line writer's circle, or even one in the real world.

Rejection is part of writing, get used to it. I see people who post here in the same light as Fight Club recruits standing outside for three days and nights taking abuse. Character building.
And if you're not a writer? If you've just come up with a poem you want to share with the world?
Do it in a live journal, don't ask for an opinion.

If you are in fact saying that we should give positive criticism with negative criticism, then yes, i do not respect that opinion in the slightest, because it's nonsensical. In order for it to make sense, I'd have to like every poem I read in at least one way, and I do not. At first, I was pissed off that you can't understand such a simple concept, but now, I just think it's like arguing about religion with one of those Bible-humping born again Christians; it's totally pointless, because they're completely out of their minds.

I don't care what you believe anymore; whatever it takes to keep you in Lala Land with your world peace, Sunday school and nuclear family is okay. All I have to say is that if you get on someone for not giving positive criticism, then we will most certainly have a problem on our hands. Due to your stance on such matters, and the fact that you are agreeing to disagree, you don't really have any place reprimanding anyone for their method of criticism, providing it isn't flat-out insulting.
