With the addition of the new photography sub forum (smoke & mirrors) I think it might be time now more than ever to consider changing the name of The Smoke Room. I love the name for the photo sub forum, I think it's great, and symbolizes what photography can dare to be: illusion. The smoke room on the other hand doesn't really do that for poetry, and now it's easily confused with Smoke & Mirrors.

So, what say you? Do you want the name to change, or do you like the way it is? Any ideas on a new name? Post 'em if you got 'em.

how's about.....The Ink Sword.....or maybe, The Right Writers......or maybe, The Coffee House.....or Mocha Words.....or.....the ultra cliche, and not so fitting, Poetic Justice....or Injustice......i dunno

I still like the Smoke Room. Maybe non-smokers wouldn't, I dunno, but it's fitting enough to me. A title shouldn't be over-wrought, though.

i don't really care for the Smoke Room....never did....i just don't see how it fits really....

I chose the name "smoke room" because no other subforum was called similar and because of the typical "poets table" full of glasses of whiskey and cigarrettes while the poets discuss about poems and poets.

I only explain this for someone's curiousity.

Sorry, my fault the Sub Forum of Photography is called 'Smoke & Mirrors'. I chose that title to actually keep in with the idea started by the 'Smoke Room', a kind of theme so to speak within the 'Arts' section of DF.

So yeah, blame me...

I wouldn't worry about it too much... this thread is over 5 months old and nobody seemed too eager to change it.
