Whatever you want to call them, here is the deal: I usually give as close to the truth as possible when commenting on peoples poems, but without stepping on their toes, always trying not to hurt their feelings.

It seems that is getting harder and harder to do around here, and so I am through with it. I am going to give you my honest opinion if I comment on your thread, and that is it. It might not be good, chances are it won't be. I do my best to find some redeeming quality, but it isn't always possible. So, I don't care if you're new, old, friend, or foe that's the way it's going to be for me.

Just keep in mind it is not an attack on you personally but my honest opinion of the writing I am commenting on. I would hope that others would feel free to do the same for me, as long as it's honest. I'm so sick of seeing, "ooooohhh that's so cool I love it and you lick lick lick." I'm sure there are others out there who feel the way I do. There HAVE to be. Let's grow and learn from each other.

So yeah, if you don't want me commenting in your thread, please let me know. Heh, not that anybody will, but if you especially want me to comment on your thread, also let me know.

hey I agree with you there and I say you can say anything about my thread and I will not be offended, be as brutal as you like.

well, u commented on my first poem ever, and i felt offended personally but i shouldn't..u haven't even seen the rest and it won't be good, but still better...
i'd like u to visit my thread, but i have like 45 pages so the first 30 really aren't worth reading...

I'll gladly check out both of your threads (when I have some time) totally cool, and WeIrdGirl, I never commented on that poem, I simply said that even though there is a lot of crap floating around here there are also some really decent poems...

I hate people like me, though. I, for one, love people to tear apart my heart-wrenching peices of soul. For one, I'm a glutton for punishment--but mostly I just can't get any better if coddled. Nobody can.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, and that's exactly what I always did... That, or I tried to search and search for some small piece of goodness, but I'm just sick of it, ya know? So, if I venture in to a thread, I'm just going to speak my mind... I don't think people should get their panties too twisted anyway, it's only my opinion, and there is enough ass smoochin' around here to fill their confidence level right back up. (That said, I really hope nobody's self-confidence relies on what other Df'ers may or may not think about their poetry.)

Everybody can give opinions about other's work... bad or good opinions but with a basic respect, exactly and everybody has to respect those opinions and react with the same basic respect.
If MD or myself see that someone is not behaving like this, this person will be warned about it.

whenever you have the time feel free to chop my work into a million pieces. Kinda sucks when you just have the two same people commenting on your work but not really saying anything constructive, not that I mind but yeah, you know where i'm getting at.
