Here's the deal: Once each week I will post a title, and you take that title and write your poem in your style. The only rules, You have to have the title for that week, and keep it 20 lines or less. They'll be a lot easier for us to read, enjoy, critique, and offer ideas on.

Dry bone bone'd
heel humped high
caught unawares pretending
vaugely smiling shy
kitten cute and laughing
drinking from the bowl
bottled water for dogs
is not the only thing she stole...

That's good Jobe. I'm not much for rhyme, but it was almost like a cute little limmerick. Good stuff, and I love reading what people come up with.

The Water is Rising

swim inside my ocean
with each orgasmic wave
as you sink ever so deeper
into the abyss of bliss,
try to find the lost pearl
hidden within the wet clam,
it's a jewel for the taking...

and never mind the rise of the tide,
especially if it should rise in my eyes,
take it as sign that there is a surprise
which past ships sailed for too quickly;
without
a map,
blind
to the
bright stars,
forgetting
the right charts,
and dying
in the
pink sea
alone...

but i have faith in you,
so row, and row hard,
and plunge yourself into me
to discover what has yet to be found,
if all goes well you'll have a wonderful tale to tell
as long as you remember to come on the shore...

The water is rising
I'm going to drown
The sewage is flowing
All over this town

Someone pass me a snorkel
Allow me to breathe
And sewage flows past me
There is no reprieve

I'm choking, I splutter
