i think if all those ideas you've mentioned mighty are infact enforced, it'll be great for the forum.
people need to have the balls to add constructive critisism and help others, and if your too sensitive to receive help...then i don't really see why you would be posting work anyways.
and mainly if it helps bring everyone together, it'll be kick ass, there's way too many little sects around this place...this way more people will get the chance to be noticed and aknowledged.
the thing about judges is that we should have people that are biased, as well as people that know a little about poetry.
people like lily, who post in numerous threads, and not just in those where you happen to know the person.
i'm all for it, if it goes as you've planned. | |

Yeah ! Mighty,
What about the fact that most people in DF don't .......
(for the most part) read very far outside of their group of friends?
It's only natural...You meet people, you hit it off with them and
then, you more or less stick with your forum friends....Time goes
by way too fast, to be in all of the threads and still accomplish
anything in your own, or have time to visit with your buddies.
So how will we choose fairly? if we only know a few people?

For the first time I got One comment similar to Jobe's.
I mean.
I trust you mighty, and you're free for this... but IF YOU MAKE THOSE STARS OR THE STUPID FEELINGS THE STARS HELPED TO RISE COME BACK WITH ALL THIS I will kill you all, it was a long time fight against that shit and this could get it back again.
My opinion is that NOBODY HERE can judge a shit about poetry, and EVERYBODY HERE can. It is all a matter of taste and inner sensations, and it is important how the writer made his/her/its day, how she/he/it woke up in the morning and things like that.
Contests are just to participate if one wants to see what happens and many of them are destroyed by the same people who want to try, the winners are always temporary winners, and they may be the worst of the best of the poets.
Once this is said, I got no more comments against or about this issue.
I call for your serenity and your intelligence not to allow yourselves voting friends, but voting the most refreshing poem of the week/month (ahem... the poem that luck wants to be).
No more, no less, I would ask you to... I would like this conversation to finish as soon as possible to start that contest or something, if we get space in this forum we gotta make a good use of it, never to talk all day long about the same but to make people move their hands and write.
One more thing: Please, please, please, I'm serious... DO NOT VOTE WITH THE STARS SYSTEM.
I hope not to be an asshole or something, this is my opinion and i don't give a fuck, now again I'm silence and a beholder.
