| How Awful is Your Poetry? -

Just a fun little quiz to see how awful your poetry is. http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?te...93021169499857 Don't Drink and Park. Accidents cause people. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I got 21%
Congratulations! Your writing is lamer than 21% of the other crap that currently passes itself off as "poetry!"
You are about as close as a person gets to poetry without actually being a poet. The good news is that once you learn to stop blaming your father for the divorce, you'll look back on this whole dark chapter in your life and laugh about it.
Compared to users who took the test and are and in your age group:
100% had lower poetic lameness scores.
With respect to poetic lameness, users aged 25 to 29 scored highest. Don't Drink and Park. Accidents cause people. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Not bad, when you consider all the mumbo-jumbo stanza-babble out there these days. You're probably that smart kid from Freshman year English Lit who still remembers the rules for writing a sonnet but never came up with a good one-- the one who got perfect scores for Composition but zeroes for Content. i believe in practicing compassion.

yea i didn't take the test but my poetry was always pretty shitty. basically standard pretentious free verse from a whining hack. Now that the wind called my name,
And my star had faded now hardly a glimpse up in the empty space,
And the wise One-Eyed Great Father,
In the sky stilled my flame.
For the ones who stood me near,
And you few who were me dear,
I ask of thee to have no doubts and no fears.
For when the great clouds fill the air,
And the thunder roars from O, so far away up in the sky,
Then for sure you will know that I have reached the joyous halls up high.

not bad... i got top 25%.
but, my parents are still together... is that a good or bad thing? if I can make just nine people a day stare at me in abject horror and confusion... i think i've done my job.
there are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those that can read binary, and those that can't.
you know what? i still want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket. (%)

See now I got that too, but my poetry really is awful, I should be at least 95% crap. A golden energy
Was rising out of my head
I shed my evil skin
And found myself again I was wrong, I don't mind
The impossible seems possible
This time I'm an electric wire
If the sun can radiate then so can I

As for the being too happy for life, that's a great start! WAY too much depressing woe-filled poetry out there. Write about what makes you happy. Write about what gives you that thirst, lust, and zeal for life. I much prefer reading something along those lines then about how you lost your boyfriend, and you're so lonely, and nobody understands you, and you think the dark crimson red blood of life has stopped flowing in your frigid vampyric veins. (not you, it was an example ) Don't Drink and Park. Accidents cause people. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

it's funny that they're focusing on lovers (or wannabe lovers) as detriments to actual poetry... you'd think that love, requited or unrequited would be important to verse... you know... what with all those sonnets Shakespeare wrote... and so on. ___Nick_the_Rogue___ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
