nah, I like the stuff I've seen from you. It's light-hearted and sometimes even silly. It's kinda like 'a breath of fresh air' in this dark endless pit of poetic sludge (i.e. depressing poetry).

this thread caught my attention...personally i think my poetry is not so good...it rhymes way to much and i'm just too happy with life to write it well.

well, rhyme sort of gets on my nerves, but there is certainly a place for it in poetry. One downer is that a lot of people go with the 'perfect end rhyme' (i.e., 'dime, time, lime'). And always at the end of each line. It makes it a bit different if you can infuse the rhyme maybe at the beginning or middle of the line as it makes it different then the rest and a bit more interesting.

As for the being too happy for life, that's a great start! WAY too much depressing woe-filled poetry out there. Write about what makes you happy. Write about what gives you that thirst, lust, and zeal for life. I much prefer reading something along those lines then about how you lost your boyfriend, and you're so lonely, and nobody understands you, and you think the dark crimson red blood of life has stopped flowing in your frigid vampyric veins. (not you, it was an example )

it's funny that they're focusing on lovers (or wannabe lovers) as detriments to actual poetry... you'd think that love, requited or unrequited would be important to verse... you know... what with all those sonnets Shakespeare wrote... and so on.
