Darkforum is a public discussion forum. We encourage freedom of speech and information, but we also need our users to follow a few simple rules. By registering and posting on the site/forums you agree to the following rules:
1. Copyrighted Material
Users agree not to post material that is protected by copyright, trademark or otherwise protected material without the written permission of the owner(s).
2. Flaming and Trolling
Flaming is the act of personal attack against another user, organization, website, etc. Think "hate posts" and that's basically what flaming is. Users are expected to treat others with respect. Posting messages that provoke a negative response is also not allowed. This is know as "trolling". If you have a problem w/ another member, keep it off the forum.
3. Profanity
Darkforum does not use any kind of language filter. However, direct name calling using profanity is not allowed and users who do so will receive a warning and then a possible ban if it continues.
4. Spamming
Posting messages that are pointless or empty to gain a higher post count, or to annoy the community or others is frowned upon. Blatant commercial spamming or advertising is unwelcome.
5. Impersonating Other Users / Accessing Other User's Accounts
Impersonation of another member is not allowed. Creating another account specifically for to purpose of provoking other users is not allowed. Accessing another member's account is not allowed. Posting for another member under a ban is not allowed. Got it? Doing so will result in an immediate ban.
6. Posting Off-Topic
Although technically not against the rules, it is very annoying. If you have something to say that isn't related to the thread you are in, please make a new one. Otherwise it requires forum moderators to move/delete posts and consumes time better spent on larger concerns.
8. Nudity and/or Porn
Please remember that Darkforum is a public discussion site and there are people here who may be under 18. Nudity and porn is not allowed outside of the Adult or Erotica sections and posting any adult content outside those sections will result in a ban and the content removed.
9. Signatures & Avatars
Content in your signature or avatar must follow the forum rules. Please keep the length of signatures within reason. For those needing a clearer definition, images need be kept smaller than 500 pixels, and text should not exceed 20 lines. In general however, just use common sense and know that if it gets too large, a moderator will contact you about shortening the content.
10. Message Posts
All posts are the property of the original poster and Darkforum. Nothing may be reprinted elsewhere without prior authorization from the administration and original author. Do not copy any post made here and transfer it to another forum or list. Doing so without permission is a copyright violation is not allowed.

Remember, Darkforum is a public website. Therefore, act like you would in a public place. Do not post any material that is knowingly false and or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense.
Darkforum is an ever growing website. We can't always promise that users who violate the rules will receive a warning every time a rule is broken. By registering at Darkforum users agree that any message deemed inappropriate may be removed at the sole discretion of Darkforum. Darkforum also has the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke board privileges at any time without notice or reason.
If you find that your account has been banned, please submit an unban request to the email address below and wait for a forum moderator, or administrator to reactivate your account.
If you think you've been banned for no reason, or something that you didn't do, please send an unban request expressing this to the forum administrator and your account may be reactivated.
Note that the rules extend to all areas of the Darkforum website, including but not limited to Private Messages, Signatures, and Unban Requests.
This board is comprised of many different people from different cultures, religions, belief systems and racial backgrounds. You will find a lot of information about subcultures, religions, computers, etc. It is up to you to evaluate what you believe and what you do not. It is also up to you to decide what is real, and what is not real.
Although the administrators and moderators of Darkforum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Darkforum or Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
