The last letter I actually wrote on paper was to an elderly couple I befriended while acting as an hostess at my college's reunion. The first Summer they were accompanied by their adult daughter who had brain cancer, but the daughter died before I saw them the next Summer. We have a running joke about Oreo's, and we exchange Christmas cards every year.

At work. I had a 30 page document to design with about 2 hours to do it - it then had to be printed, trimmed and bound and couriered (6 hour drive away) to meet a deadline at 3pm that same day. I don't get paid nearly enough for the stress some clients put me through. And at the final hour (or should I say final 10 minutes, they were still making copy changes....grrr

You've seen crappy photos focusing on my electric switches, but it's painted cafe con leche with trim a lighter tint of the same. There's berber carpet variegated in the same shades. On the walls are my "art" and a couple of other pieces. There's my computer desk, one of those put-together-yourself chairs, an ironing board and a huge pile of clean clothes on the floor waiting to be ironed. There's a plastic runner that protects the carpet leading from the front door to the kitchen, and a pass-through window cut in the wall between the kitchen and the living room (the room I'm in).

Also, there are crickets hopping around. I can't figure out where they're coming from. I chase them around with the vacuum and suck them up periodically.

I'll ask you the same, and if you had to wear a Tshirt bearing one message the rest of your life, what would the Tshirt say?

We've got the third bedroom of our house as an office - it's got light grey/blue walls, a big dining table with 3 computers on it and a computer table with nothing on it at the moment. We've got some cool art up as well as a bookshelf with lots of cool comics and design/art books. The top 2 shelves are filled with cool vinyl toys we got from asia.

T-shirt? Because it's my dream, I'll say "budafist"

I think so...when my great-gramps died, I asked if I could have a porcelain wall hanging that belonged to my great-grandma (who died before him). It's eons old, and it's a black, white, and yellow teapot that says, "A bright kitchen and a singing kettle make home the place you want to settle" on it and has a little space on the top that you can put flowers in it. I also have his rosary beads and a last rites cross that belonged to both of them around here someplace...pretty funny since I am nowhere near Catholic these days.
