Yes, that's incredibly patronising to say that debate just doesn't work, its basically implying there is no problem to solve, and doesn't help this situation with trolling, which is for the most part resolved (Dyshade is keeping an eye on it). And the title of this thread is about? Have you looked at the direction this thread took? So the patronizing wasn't the 'sweety' reference but the fact that I agree with the thread title? And I am not entitled to my opinion? I have yet to see a singular thread on the whole of DF remain objective and unbiased on a personal level. It's simply is not possible, or rather it hasn't been up until now. It would be awesome if it did however.

FuckDoll is acknowledging the fact that there is a problem, even acknowledging the fact that there is a troll who is causing members to get uptight. I didn't insult you personally and yet you feel you have to take it upon yourself to defend Peter in such a way as to completely misconstrue my words. Which is PRECISELY what my point is about unbiased objective debating on DF. It's impossible, it always gets personal and the original context gets lost in the personal fights. If this wasn't an issue we wouldn't warn and ban people. We wouldn't split threads or move inappropriate posts/threads to the Deleted Forum or the Bitch forum. If every debate stayed perfectly ON topic and never veered from an objective stance we wouldn't need to do any of that, would we?

JLB joined last year August, is he really the sole cause for threads going off-topic all the time whether he posts in it or not, and becoming personal? What was the cause before he joined?

Just be assured... Dyshade and the other SD mods are on the case. Dyshade is reviewing every post here, and will be more than willing to step in if he see's some blatant act of trolling on either side of the issue. If you see trolling, don't react to it. Just click that little exclamation point you see on the bottom left of each post. State that you believe it is trolling (or flaming, or spam, or whatever) and why.

Do what you can to have decent conversation and debate. It can be possible, even with the troll here as long as nobody feeds it. Also, don't lose sight of the fact that for debate to even occur in the first place there HAS to be two sides.

I learned a long time ago how to not care what my friends, or even semi-friends say, if the truth says otherwise.
