But yeah, I like driving too. The point I was trying to cross was that driving isn't a neccesity. Plus, Americans need to exercise (atleast walk around) more. I mean, everybody, when was the last time you walked furthur than half a mile(at once)? Ever try walking 2, 3...5 miles? Do it, see how you feel.

Yeah, but the toll booths in new jersey n new york are killer... freakn $6. And when I passed through new jersey and new york I had to go through a FEW toll booths... Then (uh oh) I had to worry about gas.... and I actually went to connecticut about a month ago when I passed through NJ and NY.

Driving IS a fucking necessity. How do you suppose that I haul 25 pieces of Drywall and a dozen cases of tile on my bicycle. Yeah, I could find a new job... but that isnt going to happen. Don't make ignorant judgements when you have no frame of reference to what people who arent in your situation are going through.

My mother lives 150 miles away. Occasionally, I like to visit her... are you suggesting I take a bus every time I want to see my family? My dad's job sends him to roughly 5 or six appointments around the Kansas City metro area every day... are you suggesting he bike that 100+ miles to meet with clients (not to mention it was 105 fucking degrees today).

I HATE it when people say that America drives too much. If you're in a big city then its possible to survive with a bike, but here in the midwest we need our cars. Open up your eyes and realize that not everyone can live in your little utopian bullshit vision of what you think the world can be. Some of us have to actually work for a living.

Yeah sure, driving is very convienent. but when it comes right down to it, your not gonna lose your life if you lose your car, unless your ignorant on how to live around it. I have a lot of overweight friends who always complain about there weight but they admit they NEVER exercise, or.. walk around atleast.
I mean, its better to eat unhealthy and exercise, then to eat healthy and NOT exercise.

Well no we don't need all of those, but thanks to the many "luxorys" I guess you could call them, here in the U.S. we have become a very fat, very lazy country. I don't drive, I use the footstep express. I personally think this world ought to go a few weeks without using vehicals, be healthier on varying levels, and hey, L.A. might actually get a visible skyline

so yeah, cds and dvds and magazines and newspapers and games that you take home are possibly just material possessions.

let me re-iterate. if i don't do my job, and people like me dont do my job, noone will buy cds. this means, if you wish to go see a band play, you will have to pay £100+ a ticket to go see them. because no cd sales, really fucks up the economy of music stuff.

oh and of course, if noone works, then noone will make all the equipment for people to be able to put on a concert, oh, and since noones working, because they can't get to work, and yeah they don't need money anyhow, someone forgot to make instruments for the band to play. so theyre all going to stand on the stage and go "aaah aah aah ug ug fooo" for a couple of hours, of course you won't be able to hear them because there's no amplification, and oh yeah, since people can't drive anywhere, noone was able to get to teacher's training college, of which there aren't many, and they weren't able to find a job at a school somewhere, to teach these people to read, talk, or to play music and sing.

and you can expand the same for the movie industry, the newspaper industry, magazines, and of course computer games industry.
