Last night i was watching Jery Springer, due to insomnia and it was either that or the Ron Popeil rotisserie infomercial (set it, and forget it!) that i've seen too many times before, and there came on a commercial for the marvel of modern invention: the talking beer bottle opener. Whenever you open a bottle with it, it says "ohhoh yeah, time for a BEER!" and i thought to myself, what self respecting schlub would purchase one of those things? and then i reminded myself of what time it was, and what program i was watching and was dismayed with the idea that these items would probably sell particularly well, and that the target market for these items make up a better portion of the world's population than i'd imagined. So anyone who purchases the Talking Beer Bottle Opener is worthy of my hate.

2. "I dress this way to bother you"

People who buy t-shirts with complete sentences on them. Yeah, two of my best friends both own shirts such as these, but for god sake what a stupid concept. How inarticulate or lacking of wit must one be to have to use a T-SHIRT to compensate for such?! People will turn it on me and try to say something about my immense collection of band t-shirts, but it's not the same concept at all! If you wear a shirt that says "Front 242", the concept it advertises is "i like front 242", further, it can go as far as to depict that the music of 242 so affects your life that you'll pay money to advertise these minstrels on your chest and back... however, a mass produced t-shirt that reads "i'm different" is not only entertainingly contradictory, but makes you look like a tool.

People who wear red hats to emulate fred durst, or bleach their hair to emulate eminem... i mean, emulation of musicians is silly to begin with, but if you're gonna emulate someone, at least emulate someone cool! Paint yourself in flourescent paint and dye your hair purple like KRZTOFF, or cover yourself in talcum powder and electrcial tape, cut yourself and walk about on giant stilts like Ogre! Now THAT would make you stand out at the mall, more than some silly red hat you tool.

9. People who say VAC is a ripoff of FLA. first of all, FLA is one of the most overrated peices of shit bands in existence. Bill Leeb is a money grubbing fuck who has a million side projects that all suck and hasn't done a goddamn thing worthwhile since he left Skinny Puppy. And everyone rallies behind FLA as if they were fucking gods. I really wanted to be into FLA, it seems like a prerequisite to calling yourself industrial to like them, but after hearing 4 of their albums, two of which are supposed to kick serious ass, i can honestly say that they are fucking boring. Granted i am a bit biased as VAC is one of my fav bands, but VAC and FLA sound nothing alike. FLA is stagnant boring industrial stomp music, VAC actually has interesting orchestration, unique vocals and samples. And Bryan doesn't rip off other people's music like Leeb does. Finally, FLA fans always come back to the same argument: "Listen to VAC's 'fun with knives' and then listen to FLA's 'Implode', you'll see what i mean" which is silly for 2 reasons, A. they sound nothing alike, and B. Implode came out 2 weeks after FWK did... how did VAC manage to rip off an album that hadn't come out yet? i guess FLA is just that good....
