i agree with the concept that sex is over rated, too many people think that being able to get a person off with intercourse is the only aspect of sex...but here's my...fifty cents on sex...
First off sex and emotion don't have to necessarily go hand in hand, most people especially of the female persuasion are led to believe that sex is a way to express your love and devotion to a person...where as men tend to see it as just another notch on the bedpost, but i don't think the sexes are too be blamed for this double standard...i think that blame should lay with society encouraging the doublestandard and people confirming it.
It's wrong that people will use this standard to manipulate people into having sex with them and then let their true feelings be known, i imagine if people were more open about just wanting sex and others not expecting that sex leads to love and a perfect romance than sex would be less of a negative experience for most and be just what it is, a physical way of expressing an attraction...
While the guys have it right about the "right" spots, for me there are different things that turn me on...i've had some of the most arousingly erotic experiences better than any orgasm triggered by a good, fierce pounding of my g spot...all it needs is imagination, attraction and a realization that sex won't make a person fall in love with you. Relax and enjoy the sensation, for the sensation with no expectations...love is love and sex is something else. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. It maybe true that some men do just put notches in their bed posts. There are many women who do the same. They are always on the go trying to get laid, so in general you'll meet many of them or the same one over and over again.
The best relationships are built on friendship. That means getting to know someone better, before having sex. Little things a person might say or do can also be a turn-on for both genders.
If you find someone in a bar there is no reason to believe you can't like eachother. How much do you like bars or drinking? Plus, even though the guy next to you at work or school may be "geeky" they might provide more happy memmories in the long run.
You are fully capible of making your own decisions and know what you want. One day you might even find someone, but remember love goes both ways. You don't want to be like one of the idiot jackasses talking about how much they get laid.

i definitely think that a relationship can exist without sex. i mean, at a certain point you're probably going to do it but i'm talking about the whole love aspect of it. i was dating this guy a while back, we had messed around a little but didn't actually have intercourse. we had just rekindled our relationship after three years of not seeing each other and i wanted to start out more as intimate friends rather than wham, bam, thank you ma'am kind of thing. i wanted to wait but he felt that he couldn't live without it so he cheated on me with some white trash slut after only a month of us seeing each other. what an asshole. i am no longer going to come back to this site. thank for to those i care about for having me here To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. "The best relationships are built on friendship. That means getting to know someone better, before having sex. Little things a person might say or do can also be a turn-on for both genders."
In my experience every relationship i began where sex was very early on before the friendship has failed... while the ONE time i tried to restrain me and her from doing anything remotely sexual for the 1s tmonth until we got to know each other VERY well and hung out and went to dinners and amusement parks etc etc etc and just became "FRIENDS WHO KNEW WE WERE GOING TO BECOME LOVERS EVENTUALLY AND SOUL MATES" has really flourished into something i had never expected in my life... sure ive been in "love" before but the fact that the relationship began with attraction a few days then alot of sex complicated it and spoiled it to the point where after the sex was done we had nothing to talk about.... so i guess what im trying to say is I AGREE!

I, as Jord has said also have many buttons....I don't like the same things all the time, some guys (no offence) think that if you go OOoo they have you sussed and can make you cum anytime they like by doing just the one thing.....to be honest that bores me and I can like something one time and not be bothered the next time.
I think in some circumstances sex is overrated, but in others it is underated. I like sex...(as many people do) but I wouldn't base a relationship purely on sex as these types of relationships, whilst being fun for a while, tend to fizzle out and the sex becomes habit rather than for pleasure.
I'm not a whore by any means but I don't see the harm in sex for fun, if you are both consenting, hell you only live once and so long as you are careful and don't hurt anyone sex for fun can be great.
Whatever turns you on can't be all bad Never waste your life...... you never know when it could be taken away

The cliche "It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" is true. And if you don't think so, then stop involving yourself with people. Of course the whole reason you didn't already do that is because you know there is truth to the cliche. Caress the serpent that devours you, baby.

I think it is better to treat everyone like someone new, but mistrust them anyway. A lot of people have been in bad realationships where the woman thinks all the man wants is sex, so she ripps him off, cheats on him and other crap. On the same hand a man from a bad past realationship will mess up new venues by accusing his girlfriend of trying to screw him over and cheating on him.
You should always start fresh with someone, but be suspicious so you don't get screwed over again, then just give it sometimes and it hasn't worked out yet, well almost kind-of. For any of the women out there, the reason the gal is doing that is because she hot and too many guys forced themselves on her.

Can't you see SilverNymph has been hurt. So why don't all you Men toddle over to another thread? Getting tired of the Macho Bravado, "I'm a sensitive man." "I'm a tough guy." "I'm a good lover." Bullsh*t!

Just to let you know, it wasn't my intention to make this particular thread a male-bashing thread. My original intention was just to bitch and get it off my chest. Which i did, and now i feel relieved. So many of you responded ... it is invigorating to know i'm not alone and that there is great things in store for me (can we say, buttons!!?). I still think it's over-rated though (I'm a lil stubborn). At any rate thanks for bitching along with me.
