im not justifying it... it's history, it happened all the time, and it shouldn't really be judged by current cultural morays.
if you want to talk about anything, argue against sharia law and its unfairness towards women. argue that the laws and traditions that were relavant in mohammad's time are far from relavent in modern times.

Perhaps it's a cultural, and not a religious problem. That would explain why it doesn't happen in all Islamic areas...like Indonesia, for instance.
