i was supposed to get the phone between 8 and 12. i had to go to the doctors to have examinations so i phoned up at 1pm saying "WTF"

dumb bitch i talked to in call 13 put on all the notes she had ordered me a phone, but she didn't do it.

poor woman on the help desk when i flipped and went freaking crazy had to phone up the couriers to check if anything had been checked to be delivered.

she investigated the matter and i explained to her how fucked off i was from all the pissing about and said that she would make sure there would be a guaranteed delivery to me the next day with a phone.

i have to call up again because one of my phone errors was to send texts to half my phone book so once i get my bill through i'm going to have to call up and say i want certain texts refunded to me. when i do, i shall be filing a complaint.

i phoned up instantly and asked them what the fuck they were playing at.

there was a message on the system saying -

"please advise the customer there are no w950i phones available and it has been discontinued. a different phone is being sent instead"

noone called me of course. i just found out the hard way.

after lots of arguing and screaming about them being pathetic and their service being rediculous, i decided to try get ANOTHER list from them. she couldnt guarantee me a phone at all. I instead just decided to try out the damn phone i had in my hand, and see if i got on with it. if i don't after a couple of days, i'm calling them back and they can take it away.

i've decided they're getting an official complaint no matter what. i've been screwed around too much not to file a complaint.

they talked of some kind of compensation and then the woman tried to say that even giving me a phone was compensation. pah. that was for the broken phone. not for being treated like shit!

well never mind. i'll sort em out when i'm less busy.

The shops don't open for another 2 hours, and I have ONE smoke left! I need that sweet, sweet tobacco!

My parked car is totaled and the situation's okay. I have a rental and i'm going to buy my dad's car w/the insurance money (when we settle) and save the rest towards grad school.

I get 2 voicemails

1. Hey Catey, this is Dad....about exchanging the vehicles, i hit a deer, it messed the front end up pretty good. I dont know how long it will be in the shop for.

2. Hi this is enterprise rent-a-car. GMAC Insurance stopped paying for the vehicle as of Friday October 27, Please call us if you'd like to talk about continuing to use it.

oh, and we found the jeep for our insurance company to go do an estimate for (we activated the claim through ours since GMAC is a massive douche) and it's already at an auto-auction. Hopefully not selling yet b/c we kind of still own the title and that's kind of theft (and we'll sue their fucking ass) but they've already got it down to auction so quickly.

I'm not sure, though I do have my own ideas. We are taught from the time we get behind the wheel for the first time to practice "defensive driving." The truth is the only way (almost) to really get around is to practice "defensive AND offensive driving when need be". I'm sure it's not like this in every part of the state and mostly just probably up here near NYC and possibly down toward Philly. Trust me when I say out of state drivers driving here is no prize either (likely due to the fact that they are not savvy on how to deal with the road conditions here). Things have gotten much worse over the years with the boom in cellphone usage. I'm sure I could go on about this, but to answer your question, I think it's a combination of the manic Northeast energy here, coupled with people being impatient and stressed, cellphones, and overcrowding. My friend's dad used to live in Wyoming and she said that he told her that there are so few people per capita there that car insurance is actually optional. I am not sure how true that is, but it sounds pretty good to me right about now.


Today I just feel annoyed for no specific reason, or perhaps a lump of several reasons that my mind is seeming to keeping going back to and seeing in a negative light. Maybe I'll get out of the house for a while.

yeah, I know how GMAC works.. Call them and ask them what the deduction will be for buying back the totaled vehicle.. It should be an option you have. Tell them if they don't offer it to you, you will post a video on You Tube and Can the local news stations about what they are doing. Bet you get some quick settlement then!! LOL

oh, what the heck...

a rude snotty town pump worker because his hack pumps freaked out and i had to go in while running late rather than just a convenient swipe of my card. I walk in, stand in line listening to him argue with a customer about the situation lecturing the guy about flipping the pump up and down. as that guy leaves he tells me the line is closed after that customer and i end up having to wait in another line just to point out the annoying fact of their funky pumps.

i did wake up in a good mood, those are rare for me now and these stupid people. being on a main strip with five other stations you'd think they'd focus more on customer service and less on rudeness, i'm now a holiday girl, they're slightly more spendy, but the service is worth the cost.

just a pause in his lecture to politely say "ma'am, I'm closed" before making me lose five minutes in a rushed morning would have appeased me.
