My dumb bells are really good quality and cost me about $15 (2x2kg, probably too light for what you want).

I'm doing the entire body, not just arms. I have some light weight dumb bells, but I moved past those quickly.

Do you have a specific goal in mind? Something sufficiently unacheivable and depressing?!

To pass the class. Which means I have to make consitant effort in my work outs. But no, not really. Just a general improvement in strength will do me fine.

That's annoying. Shouldn't you spend as much time as possible just wait training? I mean that would be pretty cool if you came out of the class totally ripped.

Well, aside from it being impossible for women to become ripped without steriods, totally. Because of the way my schedule works, and because I'm taking a fitness class aswell, I'm working out everyday. Its only been like two weeks, and I already feel like I could kick your ass twice as hard.

funny, i can workout and get pretty cut and never lift a weight. I have worked out in martial arts and just did push ups, leg raises and such, and while doing punches and such i kept bricks in my hand which helped out a fair bit as well. Now i have been doing a Navy Seal workout that is hard as fuck, though it looks pretty easy to do. Still seeing benefits and still haven't pumped weight

I have pretty muscled arms for a woman. Not in a steroidy body-builder way, but they're quite strong. Mostly from push-ups and ballet.
