4. Hentai... if youve ever seen demon rape 6 youd know that the japanese have a serious fucking mental problem.. and the sad part is that this shit isnt rare, they actually produce more hentai than actual porn... And you havent seen sad until youve seen a japanese guy fantasizing over an animated character...
3. you cant have just 1...
Suppose they make a good anime film which is rarely ever... when they DO make one they have to muck the shit up by making about 50000 fucking GOD AWFUL sequals and such... why cant they just leave it at good and start a new one? fucking anime making greed mongers! They can make something decent like Ninja scroll them make 12 sequels to it that make even the 1st one worse... is that even possible? it must be because it happens!
2. dubbing or subtitles?
BOTH SUCK ASS!!!! as if reading fucking yellow microfont was good for anyones eyes... jesus H chrsit!!!! and dubbing isnt much better... i blame the moron japanese who draw the characters mouths BEFORE they get the sound done, thus making the actual voice have to fit into jerky speech patterns... ever seen a dubbed jap animation where the character tallllk.....ed... just like... THIS! its fucking annoying!!!! fucking bastards!
1.ALL of the above AND the fact that the fucking films rarely go over 30 minutes.....i felt SO ripped off when i bought the 3rd tape in the record of lodoss wars series not knowing there were fucking 7 other tapes! what the fuck is wrong with these people?!!?!!!! and each tape is 30 minutes long... god fucking forbid they put the shits all onto 1 tape or a DVD....
As you can see Japanese animation or (anime) for short not only has shitty plot and god awful characters... but its usually got bad packaging 30 minute tapes, Shitty subs or dubs and it never ends... its IMPOSSIBLE to keep a decent Anime collection because the minute you buy 1 30 minute shittily dubbed bad plotted tape they release 10 fucking sequals to it... FUCK that and FUCK ANIME!!! |
5. i suppose that depends on your taste in genre... most anime is centered on specific instances of human emotion and drama (kinda like the rest of the entertainment industry). there are your occasional episodic series that feature monsters-of-the-week, murder-mysteries-of-the-week, etc. but no more so than american television.
4. never heard of "Demon Rape 6," but i get your point on the generic title as being a blanket example of the specific genre of hentai. but who cares, really, whether it's animated or live action pr0n... pr0n is pr0n. just a different method of presentation (not unlike romance novels for women). and the disparity between live-action/hentai in japan (where are you getting these stats, btw?) might have something to do with the strange censorship laws they have over there concerning obscenity (hence the pixel boxes).
3. most anime series don't spawn sequel seasons... a few big names do, that sell really well, but most often, anime series only last 1, perhaps 2 seasons and a movie. this is not new... as american series also last many many seasons should networks want to milk the franchise. i fail to see how this is specifically an anime issue?
2.subs versus dubs... to each their own, but both their advantages and disadvantages. and, to be honest, i think you're over-reacting. they're foreign films, take the dubbing and/or translation issues with a grain of salt and get over it. you don't have to watch it if you're that prejudiced against it.
1. length? if i remember correctly, the second lodoss wars series (the one based more closely on the books) was 27 episodes and spanned 9 tapes of vhs (thought they condense it down some for the dvd release of 4 discs). episodes were 22 minutes in length, give or take a little for opening and closing titles... so, minumum, you were looking at an hour. and, yes, there are quite a few movies (or tv specials or oavs) that don't fit the american standard of 80 mins or more, but so what?
Voices of a Distant Star packed more drama and emotion in it's thirty minute movie than most films can do in three or four times that amount... and it did so excellently.
...
your points are weak, billy, to the point of ridiculousness... easily refuted, i fail to see how your claim of dog shit has any validity and this thread just smacks of sourness for some
oddreason. in fact, i DID refute this, a long time ago, but was bored so im doing it again.
