So, change one word in my question. Is it okay to persecute all friendly Muslim communities in America, even though it's not okay to persecute friendly Christian communities in primarily Muslim nations?

Why should something be done? In America we leave homeless people to die on the streets. We persecute homosexuals, jews, blacks, whites, asians, native americans, muslims. Yet America looks down on a so-called "barbaric" nation for being more open about their practices?
