Sorry Garggoyle but with the new look of DF I think you have just drained what was left of its soul...
It now looks like some trendy 'Techno New Age' board and not the once strong Dark board that it once was. It looks it is trying to be too flashy and eye candy but ends up being confusing and looking half-done.
Sorry if you do not like my critism but I have been here some time and grew to think of this place as a second (and even some times my first) home.
Seems I have no where to go now. | |

I don't think it looks half done or really that techno. Reminds me of quake 3 for some reason. I donno, I kinda like it. Not bashin ya or anything, just conversing.

believe me, this isnt the first time that df has changed in looks when i have been here, and that is all that changes the looks. people are still gonna bitch and whine like they always did.
i have to say though, i prefer the way it looks now to its previous look. but still the original darkness will always be the best.

its not the color that irks me rathe the functionality went from being a 9 to a 5.... it was hard to ead anything, everything was squished together, i had to scroll forever, and it looked very constipated and cluttered. Ill say it looked cooler... but that doesnt make it better. personally i prefer something simple that works well than something flashy that is a pain in the ass to navigate. | |

I like the old stlye best...but parts of the new version were ok....needs more tweeking so that we aren't stumbling in the dark. I felt like the lights had been turned off and some one rearranged the furniture on me. ~thud......ran into another wall~
It was rather stylish looking, however I couldn't find anything. Maybe if the text was to remain white it would have been easier to see....but some parts of the forum were missing, or well hidden. I did like the black background in the threads....made the pics look COOL! anyway....thats just my opinion....if anyone cares. I think a change would be ok if it was well done.  Lets not be too harsh to Garg.....he is just trying to improve our little home away from home. | |
