70K is peanuts. And comes nowhere close to a silver spoon. What do you care anyway? Just start your own bidness and make 500K a year.

70k is far from silver spoon status. in the grand scheme of things that's still middle class here in the US. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

why? you got some extra cash? | Not enough to lend you. Stop telling me why you cant do it, decide to just do it and find a way. Thats a much better way to approach it. If you work that hard it might as well be for yourself, this way you dont have to split the profits.

You guys live in Connecticutt and California, respectively, I've lived in both of those states. Both of them tax the living shit out of everything and everyone which causes both of you to think 70k is peanuts. In Kentucky, where Manifesto lives, 70k buys you higher form of middle class, and the gubbamint won't take 70% of it.

www.census.gov shows that KY's median income for a "2 earner" family is $63,555, whereas in CA it's $79,153. That still doesn't make $73,00 something to sneeze at in California, especially if it's one earner's salary!

The cost of living in California is 50% or more higher than that of Kentucky. According to this, he would have to earn over $100k in order to maintain the same standard of living as if he was making $73k in Kentucky. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

So if CA cost of living is significantly higher, but average salary is only slightly higher, a higher percentage of Californians must live close to their poverty line. I guess that "three paychecks away from poverty" thing must really apply there.

Yes it does.
I was constantly in and out of my parents because of the cost of living versus the wages. I just finally gave up and moved out of California. There was no way I could have done what I have done here there. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. S.O.D. Yes, obviously guns would be much easier to obtain in Utah than in California... In Memory of the Busby Babes :
