Their culture is due to past hardships that have lead to cultural poverty. You don't end up poor from a steady foundation less than a generation ago. I do to, but it's exactly what Billy is talking about. Cultures don't come out of thin air, they're developed over time and are passed down the generations.

Not exactly, by all accounts blacks had a transitional period after the civil war, but by the time the 1920's 30's and 40's rolled around they were well on thier way to doing quite well for themselves, they had stumbling blocks, but they also had cultivated a very good if not developing culture. The Harlem ren, for example... black writers,and geniuses. It was in the 60s where the trend reversed.

Wanna know why?

Because blacks stopped fending for themselves and started shifting thier culture and relying on the government, today we see the results, they are DEAD LAST in everything. Even behind Mexican illegals who come here.

Compensation from whom? The former owners certainly couldn't compensate them monetarily. The Confederate dollar was worthless, the southern economy shattered. I am aware of the "40 acres and a mule" advertisements made by Sherman to compensate freed slaves. They were given 40 acre tracts of land in abandoned southern territories, along with any animals deemed "no longer useful" by the military.
