true and not. vietnam wasn't a fight to protect our rights. i'm not going to argue on whether we should have been there or not but it wasn't to defend our way of life. some people just use stupid arguments.

Is that right? | i wouldn't see vietnam as a threat to our country. and we where royally romped on by the vietnamese so we didn't really accomplish anything except to fuck up a lot of soldiers. the funny thing is that the flaws in communism have shown through with the fall of the soviet union. so it shows that war to be more of a failure then it was.

And the amount of stories that leaked out about soldiers that were ordered to miss their targets, and stuff like that, was really mind-boggling. When you find out all of those details, it makes you wonder why pres. johnson even put more soldiers over there, when he wouldn't really let them do anything but get slaughtered.

it seems i'm like one of the few opposing war for right now so fuck it, lets just start marching our way through the middle east. it should take about 3 days to over turn everything. then move on to europe. our only true opposition there being england and germany. maybe spain. give them tennis racquets and that is settled. russia, er, we'll just leave those poor bastards alone. now into india, then the difficult part, those damn slit eyed people. this will take a while longer. we'll leave australia because its just a cool place.

the last soldiers that fought for american rights were in WW2, since then our armies have NOT foughty for our Freedom. While i DONT agree with what they did to the vets from vietnam seeing how most of them were drafted anyhow, i DO understand where they are comming from...but thier anger should be focused on the assholes sending our children to war not the kids going to war while the leaders kids are all safe in the coastguard etc etc...fucking pigs POWER TO THE PEOPLE! | |

I would've killed ANYONE that did that to MY brother. He was just doing his job, and wasn't on the front lines...
During the Gulf War he was in Saudi (somewhere...he couldn't tell us where) debriefing pilots that would go on/come off the sorties, and plotting where they should go next (as a Defensive Missile Analyst...Air Force...WOOO!)
You want to protest the war? Fine. The folks that do that should target the politicians, not the soldiers. That would be like punching the grease monkeys because gas is too high! 
I would make him laugh, though...I told him in his Dress Blues he looked like a mailman on a mission....

i don't think they should be condemning the soldiers either...they are just doing their job...it's probably the same ones who voted for bush, but refuse to see it's his reasons that are sending the soldiers over...
