Is it right for people to dig into politics and side with a certain political party through thick and thin or should this kind of support be reserved for sports teams?

In other words, do you think it's rational to decide on a particular political standpoint before all the facts are on the table (lets face it, unless time stops all the facts will never be on the table at the same time).
Should you believe everything your party tells you like a sheep or should you use your own intellect?
Should you blindly believe that your party is completely infalliable (even if the leader makes up new words)

Is party politics wrong?
Do you think that elected representitives should be allowed to represent the views of their electorate or be told how to vote by the party they are members of?

Is party politics the opposite of true democracy?

Are people who follow a party and its politics in the mistaken belief that they are infalliable, political bitches or have they a sensible political view where the views of the collective populace are reflected in the smaller collective of government?
