A distortion is when a particular sect contradicts something Christianity stands for. Idolatry in itself makes Catholicism a distortion - though I don't think Catholics are going to hell for it. Mormons believeng in multiple Gods and believing people can become Gods makes it distortion. As if every great thing in this world, there is someone who go the wrong idea and distorted it.....
