I'm wary of getting color ink. I'm paranoid as hell when I get a tattoo.. terrified that it's going to fade and all the shit is for nothing.

I've seen people with awful looking color tats.. they faded and look gay.

yeah, i was pretty worried about that too. i just kinda took a chance with mine. i'm glad i did though, i don't think it would have the same impact if it was done in grays.

EyesSewedShut has a beautiful color sleeve done... I've been considering it.

But on my back I've got a theme going. Eventually it's going to be a full back piece. I'm working on it one at a time. Color just doesn't fit in with the scheme.

yeah, if you've already done most of your work in grays then a whole color piece would look out of place. you could float a single color throughout all of the tats when you're finished to give them continuity.

I almost got a full color tat of Raziel from Soul Reaver on my thigh. I decided that was gay.

i'll definitely run with the irish theme for the rest of mine. i don't know exactly what i want to use for my left arm, but i will put my last name on my back with some sort of scene within the letters. there are a few other ideas i have, but i need to work through them a little more.

It's so weird that so many experienced the spine to be the worst! I found that to be hardly anything compared to: where the kidneys are, soft part under the arm, and back of calve. That was... insanely sore. But then nothing quite comes close to a "cover" job. I thought it would be less sore, little did I know. I had an original tat made bigger. It's still not done. I keep postponing..... Going over already tattooed skin has to be the worst. Especially if your tat artist is called "The Butcher" because he tats so fucking hard!

I did hear that the back of the neck is insanely sore, I can only imagine, so many nerve endings and all that jazz.

Haha yeah, the slapping. It's a good relief and definitely don't under any circumstances scratch a tat. Pity that you scabbed though, you lose colour that way, no matter if it's just black. I've never scabbed, I lather cream with T-Tree and Lavender essential oils on mine all the time, the skin stays smooth and the oils assist with the healing process.

Because Gladiators kicked ass and im italian, i was going to get a legionaire but it looked kinda dumb.

I want to get sandscript for courage on the small of my back and maybe something on the inside of my hip bone. I'm not sure of what though. I'm thinking a red hatchet man, but, I don't know cuz when I wear a bathing suit it might look kinda funny.
