whats the diff between len bitching about synikul being a mod and when syb made a big bitch thread about the previous poetry mod? sybs didnt like her, and as i recall sybs didn't even have the guts to say it was whitelilly or whatever, it was someone else who pointed out who the hell she was bitching about. and as i recall, while she thought she was a shitty ass mod for poetry, quite a few disagreed, yet she was demodded anyways.

yet, poor len here is being accused of becoming a racist like synikul because she disagrees with him being made mod of politics.

hmmmm....i don't have any real complaints, but i got a few things i might say.....

um, it just seems like more and more peeps are given modship these days.....i remember when half the mods weren't mods......and now, they're mods!!!!!!!!! why? do they all deserve to be? i mean, i figure if they can be mods then i can be a mod.....but that doesn't necessarily mean i should be a mod.....

but, sumtin' else that bothers me is half the mods for certain forums don't always post in that forum, OR they almost always post in that forum......as was the case with White Lily....she never left the poetry section, which is why we had such problems with her......

but i think lately, DF has gone kinda Mod-crazy......there's a shit-ton of 'em.....why?

there doesn't need to be mods for every lil' section.....i mean, what do they ever do....really?

for the most part, the peeps at DF mod one another....if someone gets outta-line, someone will slap 'em down.......but sumtimes, some peeps go overboard......and, the mods don't all mod the same way.....

for example, Jordyn gave me a warnin' for callin' someone a total-fuckin'-retard in one of the adult-discussion threads.....now, my harassment was just playful, albeit with some spite, but said person never retaliated, hence seemed to have no problem, and just went about their day......so, why did Jordyn feel the need to give me a warning.....her reason was that she wants the forum to be friendly and open....but if said person wasn't detered by my posts anyway, then what was the problem really?.....but i ain't questionin' Jordyn's mod ability here....i luv Jordyn and will obey....

what i am sayin' is, is that you hop on over to the photography section and go into Tijuana Bandit's thread.....now, a lot of peeps here have some kinda problem with her, and it does upset her and is one of the reasons she is sometimes detered from posting here as often as she normaly does.....now, has any mod given these peeps a warnin', or told them to knock it off? i dunno, but i doubt it, since those peeps just constantly slam Tijuana post after post after post.....

so, here you got me gettin' a warnin' because i called one person (not a regular) a fuckin' retard (a long time ago, mind you) and said person wasn't even offended....

and then you got a montage of peeps bashin' a loyal regular and no one does shit about it.....

i would find "flaming" more appropriate in the adult-section than the picture section anyway.....

so whatz up with that shit?! thatz the problem with these mods.....we don't always know who's gonna bitch about what half the time....i mean, isn't Darktiggr a mod for the adult-section as well? why didn't he give me a warning? so.....i mean, whatz the deal with all these mods?

especially like all the new ones, or peeps who just seemed to becomes mods overnight.....like Iron's Rite, or SYBS......why? and, just fyi, SYBS has been one of the ones bashin' (somewhat) Tijuana......now, i like Sybs, i do....she's a kool kat....but, i just don't get why it is mods seem to get away with much more than regulars.....i mean, hell, some of us regulars have been here more than mods anyway....or more frequently....

and then, isn't Sik Simon a mod too? i think he is.....should he be?

but....in the end, i agree with most people here that half of these mods aren't needed......i trust some of the mods, others i don't......some i have confidence in their mod ability, others shouldn't be granted with it.......and plus, i think that if there is gonna be a new mod, shouldn't the regulars have some say in it? should it be left entirely up to the other mods and what have you to decide who gets modship ability?

and like, what about this....take those who do flame a lot, like Anti or Lenina....i luv 'em both, they're kool kats, and they will give peeps shit quite a bit.....how often do they get warnings? i mean, itz expected of them.....right? so.....they can get away with shit more so than others can get away with shit....

so, all in all, i just don't understand the mods really at all.....i mean, what is it they really do?

going by forum rules, you should be getting an official warning, and if you continue, not only should you be getting demodded, you should be getting banned for personal flaming.

Good points. It ~is~ getting a tad elitist and conservative around here,though. What is interesting to note is that while these bashing mods are out doing their thing, Synikul has kept his racial views quite reserved from what I have gathered. I might not agree with racial views at all, but you mods that act in this bashing manner might take note of how mature he is being.

Then again, Windigo openly hates almost everyone and he's an Admin, so you know what? Who gives a fuck? Do any of you really feel overwhelmingly controlled by the mods around here? I don't. I'm not saying I don't have criticism to pass out, (who doesn't?) but for the most part, the forum runs smoothly and it's pretty "real" around here. People are bitchy and whiny and ugly and stupid all over the place. Even mods.

The only time I was (rightly) told to shut my trap was on the Serious Discussion board when I flamed this idiot about certain views he had. His idiocy got on my nerves, but it might have been a deep rooted belief of his and I crossed that line of letting him believe what he wanted to believe. So, it was cool with me to be warned. *shrugs*

But in cases like Tijuana Bandit, I think it's a failure of all the mods (who all have to know that situation) and fail to do anything about it. That's tolerating harassment, which is actually something where mods SHOULD BE useful, not playing power nazi.

I for Instance am the Discussion Forum Mod so as i will recieve ALL Reported Posts within all the Forums.... those under Discussion.. so my Name shows up under every Forum in Discussion... but here.. let me list them for you...
