So I started quitting smoking today and decided it would be nice to take my mind of my violent tendencies (mainly shouting and throwing things because I need a smoke) by going for a walk to the store so I could buy some more refils for my niccotine inhaler...

On my way there, a couple of people I know stop me to ask how I am, I tell them that I quit smoking and they fucking light up in front of me! Blowing smoke in my face, they tell me that it won't last, I can smell smoke and I start getting aggrivated so I ask them if I can bum a smoke from them and they say "No! Hahaha! You're quitting!" Whilst blowing smoke in my face and taking slow hauls off of the cigarette....

So I say my goodbyes and go to the store... Buy myself some smokes and now I'm sitting here smoking again!

People are fucked up....

actually.....i must admit i'm guilty of doin' that to peeps....well, okay, i won't blow smoke in someones face 'cuz thatz just plain rude, but like peeps who tell me they're tryin' to quit, i just give 'em a cigarette and then light one up in front of 'em, take a nice deep breath, and then go "oh yeah, gotta luv that cancer....go on, light it....y'know you want to....you're a smoker, embrace it!"............but yeah, blowin' smoke in someone's face is bad, but so is quittin'.....stay strong child!!!!!!! smoke, SMOKE TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENT!

I want to quit... I saw the doctor the other day and she says that it sounds as if I have a heart murmour.... Which sucks because I got rid of it when I was 6 years old... She says that I should go get it checked out by a specialist. I told her that I have been smoking since I was 8 years old and she said its probably why I'm having heart complaints and chest pains...

I'm also going to start going to the gym more often and go running and stuff but all smoking does is just make me lazy and out of breath... Yeah I enjoy it but I figure that if I quit, I may be able to sort my health out...

I'm trying but people just fucking piss me off when they stand around and tempt me, its like they have no respect...

We fucking are but you try living in a society of chavs for 21 years then moving to a country where all you see are wiggers....

Its enough to make anyone want to smoke...

OMG!! i've had a murmur for... Ummmm.... yeah, i've had it for a hella long time now..... Heh, reminds me of a story........ (yes, i'm gonna type it.)





See, my gram,(insert diety of choice) rest her soul, went to the doc for her 6month. Checked her pulse, responses, listened to her lungs, took her pulse(well, the nurse did that part). Asked how she was doing ect. She told him that she smoked. he told her that her lungs sounded bad, and that she should quit for that reason...
*scene fades to 6 months later*
She's in the doctors exam room, Doc checks everything(as usuall), asks about things, asks if she quit smoking.. She tells him yes, she quit on his advice.. He checks the X-Rays, listens to her breathing, ect., And tells her how her lungs are starting to clear up, and are looking better..... She's glad, and tells him so....

I lived with her during that time(it was 10 years later that she passed away)... She had a smoke no less than 30 minutes before seeing the doc!!!!!!!!!!!!
She never quit. She just told him that to appease him...
Hmm, my grandmother started smoking at around 12, died at around 90.. And in her later years smoked the most gawd-awfull brand... Benson&Hedges menthol light 100's *shivers* nasty ones they are....

Makes you wonder if the doctors of an HMO actually look at things, or just hurry things along to get the next hours payment in.....

Yes, i smoke, but i am cutting down. Yes, i agree that you shouldn't start. Yes, i agree that it's bad for you... But hell, i'm a hyperactive adult who doesn't like prescribed drugs to put them in dozy-land...

it was hard in the beginning....but it isn't hard for me at all...

i have friends in person who do of course smoke. but when they ask me to smoke. i tell them no and they leave me alone about it. they don't force me to smoke either. which i'm glad about.

maybe you shouldn't hang around people who smoke. untill you feel better about your health. you have to be more demanding with your self and just quit. i understand how that is.

On May 20th it will be one year for me..... last year I told my Wife i would quit on her birthday..... she said "BULLSHIT!!".... at midnight on may 19th I was sitting at a quarter slots machine in Wendover, Nv. took my last drag and quit...... now I went out a few nights later to a club here called Area 51 and had a hard time because of all the smoke in the air and so I did light up but did not inhale... more like i went through the motions to appease the habitual hand to mouth tendencies.... yet since than I have not touched smokes..... it was not hard once I had firmly decided to quit.... now I can smell a smoker from about 10 yards away.... smokes stink....

quit while you can.... it has been over 10 months for me and i feel better than I have in years....
