So I go to the hospital last night because I had been sick and my stomach was hurting a bit. I get there at 10am and they hook me up to this machine that monitors Lilan's activity and what-not for an hour and something. I get pissed because I want to go home so when they come to take my blood pressure it is abnormally high. They then tell me I will have to give some blood for lab work and god damnit it all if they don't come back and tell me I have to stay the night. So I get my first IV and this god damn thing hurt worse than my tattoo.

In the end, after more fucking blood work, it turns out I have the flu. All in all, the hospital is just a god damn money sucker. They could have told me I had the flu last night without all the fucking pain and aggrivation.

God damnit....I don't feel good.

I fucking hate IV's. After 24 hours my arm gets sore as hell. Last time I got blood taken, the doctor tried to get blood out of one arm but it wouldn't give (until she took the needle out, then it started spluerting everywhere). So she had to go to the other arm.. And sometime soon I have to get blood taken again because I fainted at the gym twice. Gah.

have you any idea how fuckin monotonous it is taking bloods.

Yeah, I hear that. When I was prego with Ariana, I had a gall-bladder malfunction. It really sucked. I couldn't eat hardly anything but pretzels through out the whole pregnancy and had to be in the hospital at least once a week. If I did God forbid have a real meal, I wound up spewing green bile all over the place and would feel like I was being stabbed in the back by 20 little knives. Once I hit 9 months they had to induce labor once a week for 3 weeks until they finally gave up on it and broke my water. Anyway, through the pregnancy, I had to take in my sustenance through an IV most the time, cuz I couldn't eat ANYTHING within 24 hours of a gallbladder attack, so that the stone could pass. This one old bitch nurse hooked me up and I told her like 10 times she didn't do it right. She was really nasty and told me, "I think I would know what I am doing." Well, fat bitch DIDN"T know what she was doing and all the saline and vitamins filled up in my hand, because she ruptured a vein. I had a VERY swollen hand and a really nasty looked lump for 2 weeks until the fluid released. I should have sued. Ariana was born healthy though, 8 and a half pounds, 22 inches. The doctor said had I had a normal pregnancy, she would have been about 12-13 pounds! Which, wouldn’t hurt like a bitch, seeing as how I had a “drug free” labor.

IVs, if they're done right, usually don't hurt....I've been out/in the hospital enough for my damned asthma (stopped breathing? What joy! What rapture! What a LOT of SHIT!) but I'm allergic to most brands of the tape used to cover the arm, so I get huge welts all over, making me look like I was whacked in the arm with a nail-studded board...not good.

For my blood test (when I got married...about 12 years now) the girl was talking to her friend, and just jabbing me...when she was finished (and finally got the fucking blood, stupid bitch!) I had track marks that were black and purple...boy, you haven't lived until you go to work and explain to everyone that no, you're not really a junkie....

I feel a little bit better. My mom is convinced they didn't do the IV right because she said I should have been able to move my hand. I am ready to be non-pregnant, I swear.

On a brighter note, I am two cm's dialated now and 50% thinned. So she should be here any time within the next couple of weeks! I will post pictures as soon as I get her home from the hospital.
