I've surpassed broke and entered the realms of substantial debt.

I met a woman the other day who owes £120,000 on credit cards!!! That's even more in dollars and just think of the interest rates!!!!
I don't owe that much, and so as long as there are people in more debt than me, I don't care...it'll get paid....in the end.

I'm not really too far in debt.. I have one credit card bill with around $500, and one with $50.. I want to get another one but my boyfriend would get mad.. He is in debt big time, so he is like my financial Conscience. He doesn't want me to end up like him..

Yeah credit cards are a bummer though I have managed to keep my paid off so far...along with my cell phone bill.....BUT I work two jobs just to have both....But I tell you it sucks paying for Christmas...at one point I had close to a grand...then poof.....gone......fucking family members wanting shit....I say....boycott Christmas...make every holiday Halloween.

We lived on a houseboat that was damaged and sunk before the marine mortgage was paid off. And as it was eventually diagnosed as a surveying mistake, the insurance didn't pay out. And surveyers can't be taken to court, they accept no responsibility.
So, we are paying off a £30,000 mortgage on a boat we can't live on.

Yikes you may say, but, I saw a programe on telly about surveying mistakes, and there was a woman who bought a house in London which had a hidden damp problem. It was too severe to fix, and spread through the house making it impossible to live in. There is no insurance payout for her, just a £140,000 mortgage to pay off, and like us, there's the cost of your alternative accomodation to find.

So, all feel better about your debt, because the chances are I owe more than you, and I'm not going to let it ruin my life.

i know how you feel, since i'm skint and its bloody christmas (i love it really) i've had to use my visa to get christmas presents for everyone and just buy general nick nacks for the house and shit, so i've roughly got a bill of £600, luckily (god knows how) i've managed to scrimp and save that much before the bill has even came in, plus i get another 20 days after that to get whatever i have left..i have to admit ive only managed to get the money together thanks to my b/f he gave me £120 to help, which is a lot considering he is skint and needs to buy presents too!

ive still got presents to get though...

i'd go with that, i suggested it to my b/f since we couldnt find the key to get the christmas decorations out of the hut, but he turned me down and took the shed door of its hinges...lol..mind you i seem to spend more at halloween than i do at christmas so maybe it isnt such a good idea after all!

All us young people are just starting to go out into the world,and most are shit broke.I know at least five people around the 20-23 age range that are just beginning to live on their own,and have money troubles,shortages,food issues.It really makes me appreciate my families financial help I receive.While it is true that I do not live with my parents any longer, They do manage to help me out with a few bucks here and there.My grandparents also.I usually run out of money from my paycheck a week after I've recieved it due to bills,food,house items,miscellaneous,clothes. We will all eventually grow out of it,and become back-breaking adults.

even back breaking adults have their financial worries...it's hard in this world for anyone who wasn't born with a silver spoon or successful enough to afford medical or law school to do much more...

on the topic of stripping, i don't see anything wrong with it, just because girls make oodles of money removing their clothes, doesn't mean their slutty...and the ones i've met were quite wonderful...and gay.

What scares me more is the poverty felt by the elderly.
Just because you have a financially secure life doesn't mean that your boss isn't going to run off with the pension fund, leaving you to work until you die, or live off state handouts, scared to turn the heat on.
