yes it is kinda compulsory for them to go well if it is by a court order. I had a fridnt aht was in a group home for people like that. she complained about being there, and wanted to leave. I told her to get her stuff and walk it then and she said that she couldn't she was in there by court order and not ablt to leave.

in england you can also be confined in rehab

i guess im just a bit jaded on the subject. someone very close to me killed themself , and i listen to spoiled brats everyday whinging about how they want to top themself because they cant go out that weekend or other such drama. dont get me wrong everyone needs melodrama now and then but these people seem to have turned it into a competition.
it makes me angry.

my brother tried to kill himself over something extremely petty many years ago. he was maybe 10 at the time- I cant remember- he has always been extreme like that. but that was pure melodrama, attention seeking, spoilt brat stuff.
most people who truly want to die will make sure that they are dead, finito, end of- and if this was their wish then at least in some ways it was a happiness for them.

Yes, apparently males have attempt suicide less than females but have a far higher success rate than females because apparently instead of slicing and things like that they use more drastic ways of jumping off buildings and guns....ahh the things you learn in school.

Ok, well, firstlly I want to say Thank you to Crypt. I don't want to spoil your image and I know you just did what you did cuz it's your job and you wanted to prove a point, but, my mom called me this morning, and told me to Thank you for calling Amy last night. Amy doesn't know about all the drama with everyone thinking I was her and calling "her" a lier, all she knows is that someone cared for her from DF and reached out to her. And, Crypt, my family thanks you for that. And Sybelle, Thank you also. And, to all the other "belivers" and caring people out there And, to those who thought I was a lier, remember this the next time someone says this, maybe it'll save them a lot of agravation.


PS: And about that whole, I should be with my sister thing, I'd like nothing more than to be with her right now, if I could.

Hi Magic, I know I was silent during all of this but I was following it and I'm glad to hear your sister is ok.

The reason you got such a harsh reaction here is twofold.
Firstly there is the cry wolf effect, people have been coming in here crying about feigned suicide so many times that people gradually got sick of it, it was just timing that caused the lash out.
The second reason is a rather healthy defence mechanisim.
A of messed up people come in here when they are at their limit and talk about suicide, in that situation, the only helpfull thing we can do is point out how stupid suicide is and sometimes that comes across as an attack, but that's far better than placating.
When someone is suicidal they need a sharp shock to their system to bring them out of it and coming to a Goth orientated board and having your discussion about suicide shot down is a pretty big shock

Just think about it, if we went the other way and fawned on them, justifying all of their problems, it would only make their problems bigger. ( a problem shared is a problem doubled because the other persons problems are always bigger than yours and you end up feeling small and insignificant)

No, we don't know when she'll be out. Most likey in a month or so, depending on her progress and my parents optinion. She said she should be off Sucide Lock Down on Monday, if she coroporates with the doctors and counslers.

It's ok crying childe, I understand where you're comming from, but, just remember this if the subject comes up again with someone else, check the facts before jumping on the band wagon...
