SHIT!!!

ok so i finally got a fucking dvd player, and i was so fucking happy cuz i got some dvds as a gift not to long ago and i ve really been wanting to see them.
ok so i got home and like any normal person i immediately starting trying to connect it and i felt confident i could do it until i saw the fucking instructions. THEY CALL THAT INSTRUCTIONS!!!???
all they did was draw some pictures showing a tv, the dvd player and the cords.
i have a fucking digital cable box and i have no freaking clue how to connect it!!
i tried sticking the yellow and white and red cords in different jacks, hoping i would come across the correct way accidentally, BUT NOOO!

NOw i m stuck here home alone with a brand new dvd player, dvds and no way to fucking use any of them!

oh and for reference, yellow is video. red and white are the audio and i believe you only use red if its for mono only.

i tried matching the colors and it just wont work.

i found out i more than likely will need a fucking adapter, but i m not sure yet. this shit sucks. i wanna see my DVDS!!! :veryevil:

i use my brother's playstation 2 to watch dvds. ha ha

why don't you ask some one that has a clue to set it up for you?

LOL the T.V. i have is just old enough that it will only play DVD's in black and white...

yeah... sounds like she doesn't have the RCA ports... they do make RCA/Coaxial converters... but they are rare where i am... never had to use one so ive never seen one...

radioshack usually has them.

funny... we've got two (count'em TWO) radio shacks here... and ne'er do i spy a converter upon their racks...

they can always order them. louisvilles big enough to have quite a few and pretty well stocked.

by the way, never by those 'as seen on tv' outlet antennas that are supposed to use your wiring to pick up better reception... they only work in older houses since new wiring is shielded...

those aren't the ones at wally world are they? i thought those just powered the antenna for better reception.
