shes 18, shes an adult. if she wants to play the drama queen bit by having a scare, and then doing the same old shit and actually getting pregnant, fine. SHE will be the one with a screaming baby at 2 a.m. she will be the one who had to deal with labour pains, and schooling and diapers and possibly being a single mom.

Goodness, do people not use contraception?
Just curious, do you have Depo Provera available where you are? It's a shot in the bum 4 times a year to stop you getting pregnant. It doesn't protect from sexually transmitted diseases, but that seems to be the least of people's worries these days.

I wasn't referring to you. You questioned why it bothered her that she was keeping the baby, not why it bothered her in the first place (as some did).
To have a friend, and not give a shit that a major life event (pregnancy, marriage, divorce, job loss, whatever...) has happened in their life is kind of shitty in my book.
Supporting them and suggesting alternative options would be a friendly thing.
