true, but point being that a job has certain requirements. if you deal with the public, you have to be able to communicate effectively. otherwise find another job that doesn't require this. also this has to do with management at fast food chains. they are ultimately responsible for position placement.

but there are positions such as grill, maid at a hotel, etc. these do not deal with "customers". therefore the only people that have to work with them is management. my girlfriend was over housekeeping at a hotel in lexington and she started learning spanish to help communicate. BUT it was specialized and she dealt with them on a daily basis.

true, but the worst is in the drive thru. they rarely have the speaker working correctly and it will never be as good as standing in front of someone. then you add accent, talking at 50 mph, and bad english and you have a shitty situation.
