Have you heard of these things not only taking over your internet explorer but also your notepad? cant even open notepad in safe mode... And if i can boot up normally, it locks up immediately and even ctrl alt del doesnt do anything. Does this sound like spyware, adware, viruses or what??

sounds like a trojan, and you could use Notepad to edit the script so it is disabled. What happend when you downloaded and ran Ad-aware?

Are the files you don't want to loose the second partition or is everything on the primary?

well, ad-aware didn't find nuttin.....but xoftspy did, only it won't remove it cuz i gotta order it for like 40 bucks, so i said fuck that.....but it found a bunch of shit in the registry

I would suggest downloading HijackThis; scan; save Log; copy & paste Log in one of the forums I posted above. Someone will take you thru it!
