As far as the 'intelligent guy' persona, spelling in no way relates to human intelligence. Spelling is one of those things people learn with experience to a specific language. Since I do not read much outside of cutting edge science articles , which consist largely of numbers, graphs, and charts, my exposure isn't as much as someone that would read fictional novels, or write poetry, which, might I add, has little to do with intelligence as well.

In 2001 she graduated high school. I was at her graduation. She was 18 years old. It is now 2004. So let's do the math:

18 - The age at which XBeautysDemiseX graduated high school
2001 - The year in which XBeautysDemiseX graduated high school
2004 - Current year to date

2004- 2001 = 3 (Number of years since her graduation)

Now. We take the number of years since her graduation and add them to her age at the time of graduation in order to get current age.

18 + 3 = 21


In addition... If she did, indeed, tell you she was 17 in 2001.. that would STILL make her older than your previous estimates.
